"Maybe try and seek her out to talk? At least that's what some of the masters here seem to say if there's an issue. Something about 'all jedi being your brother and sister' kind of thing." Kerren shrugged, not minding to let that subject drop.

"... Yes, and no. It's not that I can't meditate, I just have difficulty doing it differently from how I used to."

[Byron Mik]

"How did you used to do it?" he asked.

[Kerren Sek]

"More... channeling your anger, your hatred, focusing on the raw and unbridled feelings within." It was hard to explain the difference, but it was still a pretty significant one. "Trying to clear your mind of emotion and just focus on the Force is not exactly the same."

[Byron Mik]

Byron chuckled and said, "Yeah that will be a huge difference in styles."

[Kerren Sek]

"How do you detach so easily from the emotions?" he asked in return.

[Byron Mik]

“I am not sure it is possible, I believe it to be an ideal. In truth you are always balancing those attachments you have and make sure you maintain a clear head. I guess the Masters do it better than others but I think we all care about something even if it just the well being of the Jedi order,” he said honestly.

“Maybe you need to focus less on the anger but more on focusing that aggression into a positive outlet. Fine something that gives you peace of mind, or allows you to relax maybe?”

[Kerren Sek]

"Maybe. I suppose such thing will come with time. It's... not an easy transition to make. Some parts I admit have been easier than I thought it would be, but others are proving more difficult." He shifted his legs into a more comfortable seat. "I do miss a warmer planet though."

[Byron Mik]

"We all do, thankfully we won't be here long I hope," Byron responded.

"Are they allowing you to go into the caves?"

[Kerren Sek]

"We'll see. I don't know yet, but I suspect they might have something else in mind for me." Not knowing did irritate him, but he figured that too was probably a test of some sort.

At least he wasn't eating paste in the food hall at the Academy again.

"Well no matter what, you should come hang out with me and the soldiers, drink some booze, have a good time," he said warmly.

"Also... completely unrelated but what would you say to this face, but with a beard?"

[Kerren Sek]

"Perhaps." He was still cautious about socialising with military personnel, as they might not be as understanding and friendly as the Jedi tried to be.

"... A beard? Why?" he gave Byron a confused look.

[Byron Mik]

Byron smirked as he said, “I won’t leave you there alone buddy, they love me and if you give the people a chance they will love you too. Just tone down the glare, try smiling, and just know that not everyone is out to get you.”

“It might help you relax and find some center.”

As for the beard he added, “I was thinking of growing one, you know look stately or something. You think it’s a bad idea?”

"Maybe. Guess it doesn't hurt to try," Kerren shrugged cautiously.

"I don't know if I'm the right person to ask about a beard though," he added thoughtfully. Purebloods didn't really have much facial hair. "Maybe ask those jedi masters of yours? They're human just like you, and one of them has some beard."

[Byron Mik]

"Yeah but I don't consider them friends, I mean they are nice but I am not going to tip a bottle back with them... well maybe Master Orgus... but it's not the same," Byron responded.

"I love all these guys like brothers and sisters but they are either young... or act young, and I am not about that life."
