Distractions (Day 8 Mid afternoon, Garage)

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Well, he might of been reading your mind." Silas repleid thoughtfully. "He was a powerful Sith after all, but the part about bringing people back was probably just a coincidence, seems like he has been working on those Zombies for a while after all."

"That must of been hard though, him offering to bring your sister back."

[O'vala Aeser]

O'vala shook her head. "He never mentioned her directly, just the power of bringing people back to life, or some crap." She then tilted her head. "But that does beg the question: what if he's trying to improve it?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Well, I bet he probably is." Silas replied with a thoughtful nod. "Mad scientists are always trying to improve on their experiments. Just eventually they mutate out oof control and really bad stuff happens. Like a zombie plaque or something."

"Maybe by telling the Masters they can put a stop to it before that happens!"

[O'vala Aeser]

"It seems kind of weird that we kind of just left without doing anything about him then. But I guess there is the peace treaty."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Ah, we did try and do somethign about him." Silas replied with a small frown. "He was going to be brought in for questionign about the Zombies and all on Aruatera, but he had already left my the time the authorties got there."

"I think they were still builiding a case against him though, so your confession might be vital."

[O'vala Aeser]

"Oh. Well, I didn't know about that! Maybe I ought to keep up with the times."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"It's not like it was super huge news or anything." Silas replied with a smile. "So I'm not suprised you missed it, at least if you didn't know the details. "It had to do with those missing people on Auratera though? Me and a few others helped find them, and we ran into Lord Destrus's work."

[O'vala Aeser]

"Oh." O'vala leaned closer. "Uh, were they all zombies then? If so, then that's horrible!"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Not all of them, but a good number it seemed." Silas replied with a frown. "And it was pretty horrible, but they weren't contagious or anything so there wasn't any chance of a plague..."

"They were using them for mining."

[O'vala Aeser]

"Zombies used for mining? Weird. I thought they'd be running around, trying to eat people."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"They might of been, but they put them to work somehow. Once they saw people though, they were all about shambling after us like we were dinner." Or that's how it looked to him. "I guess they had some limited control over them via the collars they wore? But it couldn't overcome their instincts when food was present."

[O'vala Aeser]

O'vala crossed her arms. "Why is it always eating people? Like what if zombies wanted to eat plants instead?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Well, they wouldn't be zombies then would they?" Silas countered, with a matter of fact expression. "They'd be like Vegibies or something."

[O'vala Aeser]

"But does that make us zoms then? What is a zom? What is a bie?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"It might, it might make Zom a catchall for all oragnic life forms." He gave a thoughtful nod. "which means a bie must he short for a undead creature that feeds on other creatures... In this case Zom's"

[O'vala Aeser]

"Plantbie, fungibie... what about ones that just eat certain types of people? Or animals? Humanbie?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"I suppose that makes sense." Silas mused thoughtfully. "I suppose I can't really be sure though. I never figured out where all these myths about Zombies came from after all. So, I'd need to look into that to figure out if I got the roots of the word right."

[O'vala Aeser]

"Sounds like something you'd be good at, Silas!" O'vala then smiled broadly. "You're good at a lot of things."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"I'm good at some things. Things that require smarts, but there are a lot more i'm not so good at." He countered with a grin. "Still thanks, it's nice to know that i'm appreciated."

[O'vala Aeser]

"Of course you're appreciated! What sort of person wouldn't appreciate you?" O'vala glanced down at Silas' feet and then lightly shrugged. "I guess I can't see doing anything with those other than walk or run."
