O'vala shook out her leg that she had stuck the stimpack into. "Wow, that's always a lot! Still stings. Bet the troopers get real addicted to this stuff."

"It's not exactly a fun high." Zanja grimaced as she picked up the discharged stimpack she'd dropped during the fight and put it away again.

Silas nodded to Eir. "Thanks." When she was done he glanced to the others. Byron certainly seemed obsessed with getting the power on, maybe he hated the cold?

"I suppose we should get moving though."

[Zanja]

"Sure. Still this way." Zanja pointed down the chilly hallway with her glow rod. "You want anything from these rust buckets, Shine? I got no clue if any of these bits are useful..."

"I might check on the way back out." Silas offered with a grin. "No reason to lug that all over the place though." At least, he assumed Di was talking to him.

“Once we have power we can secure the structure, and have plenty of time to investigate what we need plus get lights and hopefully life support to warm it up if possible. Then you can just break down the droids down here and take back what is usable instead of carrying junk across the planet,” he responded.

“Plus we might be able to access security logs or administrative logs to figure out what happened here or the purpose of this place.”

“And hopefully deactivate any other security measures if needed,” Eir added.

"That's if we can get this place back up and running." Silas replied with a shrug, it seemed a pretty big if to him. "And if turning on the heating doesnt wake up a bunch of creatures that have made this place his home."

There was a momentary pause. "Not that I'm saying it's not a good idea. I'm just saying everything might not go exactly like we want."

"Then we adapt, better than stumbling through the dark. Besides if something else is nesting in here then it means there is another open access point that leads outside, which seems unlikely, given the active security and the state of the structure," Byron responded.

"It's the best plan we have at the moment."

[Zanja]

“I thought we’re just here to look around, see if there’s anything interesting to see, not to bleeding resettle the place,” Zanja put in, rolling her eyes somewhat. Regardless, assuming the others followed, she was already marching off toward where she thought the maintenance area would be.

She was ready to detour if they came close to something more interesting according to the map, though. Byron’s unusually grouchy (presumptive) leadership style wasn’t having an especially positive effect on her.

Byron was a bit exasperated at the arguing, getting the lights on and checking for power was pretty much vital to any 'looking around' they wanted to do without having to worry about surprises and freezing to death... He responded, "I have no idea what gave you the idea any of us want to resettle here, checking for power and security are the basic minimum of any investigation."

"Besides it looks like the Gree invested some effort into this place."

"So let's get the power on." Silas replied with a easy smile towards Di. It's not like they were lolly gagging after all. "Then we can go to security or main command and see if we can deactivate and defenses."

Then maybe Byron would be happy looking around.

Eir wrapped her cloak around herself again, never thought I’d want know-it-all Byron back. It seemed Airatera had thrown both of them for a loop, and she wondered how the others could seem so unchanged.

Zanja managed to lead the group to maintance without running into more security, though the occassionally passed by what seemed like pods with more of those guardian droids.

At least the maintance room was not frozen down with ice, but everything seemed dead.

Byron checked if there was any way to bring it up or if it simply was lacking fuel or viable power source.

It did seem like it would need a power source of some sort. A place this big would probably require a lot of power to work again, but perhaps if they managed to hook it up to a decent power-source they could at least get some parts of it running?

It was hard to tell... maybe something like a portable power generator, or hook it up to a speeder?

Byron chuckled and said, “Well we can get power a couple ways, bring a portable source from the base or use the speeder but I can’t guarantee that won’t leave us stranded. Too much a risk, want my two creds? I say we scour the place for any clues we find… maybe scavenge the droids and return tomorrow better equipped to power this place.”

“Maybe see if the base has a portable generator we could use.”
