Eir visibly shuddered and looked away.

He want quite sure what was making Pixie react like that. Silas just knew he didnt really like the idea of taking it to the temple. Not without someone more knowledgeable looking at it.

"Do you think one of you can fetch one of the Masters?" He asked, glancing towards the others.

[Faily]

"I can happily be of service," Raz suggested.

[Taime Jorel]

Taime perked noticeably. "Yes. Yes let's get someone. Maybe Master Chriala or Master Murah? They might be able to sense something we can't. "

[Eir]

"Perhaps we should ask Master Chriala as well," Eir suggested at the same time, hoping the miralukan's Sight might reveal something. "Uh, sorry, T'ame."

[Taime Jorel]

"No worries. We just think alike, that's all." He gave a quick smile and then turned back to the problem at hand.

[Esla Tor]

Esla gave a relieved nod at the idea of asking one of the Masters to see the artifact. They were sort of fumbling in the dark at the moment and this seemed like an important find.

[Faily]

"Ok, I can go and call this master Chriala?" The corporal was eager to get away from the mystery-thing that she did not understand. "You kids keep an eye on this thing?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Thanks, Corporal." Silas grinned at the solider, then looked at his friends. "If you could get us Master Chriala, that would be great. Though Master Murah, or Master Ogrus will work if you can't find her."

[Faily]

Raz gave a quick salute and walked with some hurry in her step as she left the workshop to call the Jedi masters again.


The star-box was glowing faintly, in slow pulse-like intervals.

Eir put some distance between her and the glowing box. She didn't think the object had been built for nefarious purposes, unlike some holocron-like devices, but it could have been damaged since then, and could react unpredictably. She opened her copy of Duality of the Force, a reward from the stern librarian on Corscuant and flipped through idly, not really focused.

[Taime Jorel]

As the soldier left, a horrible thought flashed through Taime's mind. "You know...if this was a horror vid. This would be when something awful happens...." He says quietly to himself.

He pondered reaching out with his senses, but he knew he wasn't as skilled as some of the others.

"Well, we already had the zombie episode. So I should be okay with most everything else...." Silas replied his senses once again questing towards the object.

The others seemed pretty wary of it, but at the moment it wasnt doing anything frightening.

Not only did he feel its presence as if it was like a living person, although a weakened one, standing in the room with them, but it felt like something was speaking.

"... help..."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

That was weird, very weird. Silas glanced around the room looking at the others. "Um.... I think it just asked for help."

[Eir]

Eir blinked. "Asked?" she raised an eyebrow. "So, it might be a failed holocron? Holocron technology is pretty ancient, but maybe this predates even that?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"I don't think it's a failed anything." Silas replied with a from. "It wouldn't be in such good shape if it was. If it's something that predates holocrons though? I can't tell."

"Maybe its something new?" That would make some sense. Still it asked for help, taking a step forward Silas reached out a hand. Perhaps he would repair some of the damaged systems?

[Faily]

While it did not seem to fix itself in the same way that an item would have, it did seem strengthened by Silas' efforts. Its pulsing light flickered briefly, before assuming a more stable glow as it began to project an image.

The image of a person. Seemingly female. Human. Dressed in white clothes that seemed worn and a little dirty. The side of her face was scarred, from an old injury it seemed.



"... thank you..." the image flickered a little. "... it does not seem quite stable..." she spoke in an old dialect, but it was understandably Basic.

[Silas Myles Pearson]

Well, that both was and wasn't what we was expecting, and he still wasn't sure if he made the right decision. But at the very least she didn't look like a Sith, or at least she didn't have the same terrible taste in clothing as most of them.

"You're welcome." Silas offered after a moment, and honestly I don't think it is stable." He glanced towards the object. "But then, we're not entirely certain what it is."

[Esla Tor]

Esla gave a weak wave at the woman who suddenly appeared in the project, uncertain what she was seeing entirely. It seemed like a hologram so she was unsure if she was actually talking to them, maybe just some coincidental words. No way she was waiting around for someone to find this object in the ice to start talking to them...right?
