[Day 7 LM] Dizzy Heights

[Zanja]

"It is when you thought... mmph." Zanja continued to scowl at nothing in particular. When you thought you didn't have to.

"Do the masters talk about us, when we're not around?" Now that she actually thought about it, they surely must, even though she really didn't care for the idea.

[Corvin Zell]

Corvin smirked, just a little. "No, I get what you mean. There's alone by choice, and then there's not." He shook his head. "You should't worry about that second one with Jedi." He chuckled. "First one's hard enough to manage."

He shrugged, looking at her. "Yeah. Does that bother you?"

[Zanja]

"Obviously it does." Maximum Teenager, Go! "Anyone would mind that." Even if it was probably unavoidable, for logistical reasons if nothing else.

[Corvin Zell]

Corvin scowled. "Why? I don't care what people say about me. Either they're my friends, so they've earned it, or they're not, so what difference is it to me?"

[Zanja]

"What if you thought they were your friends, but you were wrong?" Zanja pressed, her voice a bit extra-gravelly.

[Corvin Zell]

Corvin shrugged. "Then I'd move them from the first category to the second." He graveled right back at her. "That's where they always belonged."

He shrugged again. "But then, I'm sure of my friends." He looked at her. "You should be too."

[Zanja]

"Hmph." Zanja hunched her shoulders. "Feels like that cave was telling me not to." Of course, the cave was also full of Dark Side energies, and possibly also lies.

[Corvin Zell]

Corvin gave her a look, possibly a Look with a capital L. "Don't trust the Dark Side. Especially if it seems to be telling you something that you're afraid might be true."

[Zanja]

Zanja hmph'd again but nodded, still frowning. But at that moment another thought arrived to distract her somewhat. "If it's all just a bunch of lies, how come everyone still has to go down there?"

[Corvin Zell]

Corvin smirked. "It's not always lies. That'd be too easy. Sometimes it's a possible future; usually the worst one." He shrugged. "I hope you can sort out which one this is."

[Zanja]

"Did you have to do it? Which kind was yours?" Zanja's eyebrows arched, accentuated by the fresh tattoos.

[Corvin Zell]

Corvin scowled at her. "I'll let you know when I figure it out." His tone didn't encourage additional questions on the subject.

[Zanja]

"Hmh. Well, I don't think mine could be a literal future, anyway." Zanja shrugged. "If you lot were going to get rid of me, it wouldn't go like that."

[Corvin Zell]

"Yeah?" Corvin snorted. "I don't know. I'm pretty sure we'd have to surprise you, however we'd do it."

He smirked. "Not that we're in any hurry to. You're alright, Zanja."

[Zanja]

"Huh. Well... thanks." Zanja managed to look both embarrassed and pleased.

And spiky. Always spiky.

"Sure." Corvin nodded.

He looked away, squinting into the sun. Enough said, apparently.

[Zanja]

Yup. Enough talking. Talking too much is for losers.
