[Day 7 -LA] Jedi Cop IV: Long Punch Goodnight

[Zanja]

"Quiet and quick is still smart."

Zanja did grin rather fiercely, though; even if she hadn't gotten to participate, watching Byron (and, by extension, Silas) take out the droid in one hit had been exciting!

"We don't know what's in there. Ogon could have some bosses on site."

Unless anyone stopped her, she moved to take point, keeping her unlit training saber to hand.

[Byron Mik]

Byron nodded and followed.

[Mir]

Mir was still sneaking along, like a ghost. Unseen, unheard. Turned out that Silas made a good hiding spot.

[Zizzy Roosh]

"I remember that episode. It kinda went like that for Veera too." Zizzy shrugged and followed the others. There was no point chiding a full Byron when it was perfectly executed. Clearly the force was with them.

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Yeah, I never expected anythign I saw on Vera Hawke, to be actually useful either." He grinned and glanced at the droid. "I wonder if we'll be able to keep this after all this is done." He mused mostly to himself, as he fell into line. Di was the scout, so it fell to him and Napz to be reargaurds.

[Byron Mik]

"Kerren we watch the entrance, the rest of you get inside there. Watch out for any surprises," he said taking a post by the entrance.

"Be ready for anything."

[Mir]

Mir didn't like it. He didn't like it at all. Yet he moved to take his place with the other two leaving Byron and the sith behind.

[Faily]

Kerren grunted in reply.

From inside the cave they could hear the faint sound of metal against stone, yet there was no light in there.

[Mir]

Mir put on his goggles to see if he could, uh, see anything.

[Silas Myles Pearson]

This seemed like a job for scanner goggles! Pulling his out of his bag he offered them to Di. She was one of the two scouts and could likely use them.

Plus he had a glow rod, and could dual wield it with his sword if need be. Though for the moment he exchanged his bladed weapon fir his training saber.

[Faily]

The ones wearing goggles could are the cave tunnel slope downward.

That there was no work light was quite unusual...

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"I guess lead the way you two." Silas offered to Napz and Di as he flicked on his glow rod. "Make sure your respirators are on too. Meli and I will be right behind you."

With that he put on his respirator, there was something really wrong with this place and breathing the air was likely a bad idea.

[Zanja]

"Keep 'em." Zanja waved off Silas's offer of goggles. It seems she'd acquired a pair of her own at some point! Between those, the breath mask around her neck, and the horns, she cut a somewhat sinister figure.

"What the hell, though, are they just keeping 'em in the dark down here?" Quietly, aided by her goggles, she crept forward along the sloping tunnel...

[Mir]

"Tunnel, going down. Be quiet." Mir murmured as he joined Zanja at the van. Don't kriff this up mole-pine! he glanced at the Zabrak with the goggles on his head, trying to stick to the shadows that enveloped all of them. Farissa should be proud of me, working with that Zabrat.

[Silas Myles Pearson]

Which meant Silas' goggles went to Meli, these and her tendrils would really help her see anything that was amiss.

Giving the others a few moments lead, Silas followed behind with his glow rod. It made him a bit of a target having the only light source, but that was kind of his job too.

Taking a slow breath, he concentrated the force inward, feeling it surge through his muscles as he followed along.

((Commiting a force die to brawn, if that's ok.))

As they continued further in, they could hear the sounds of stonework growing closer and closer.

Mir, Zizzy, and Zanja was it first after a while. A worker, hacking away with a pick in a steady rythm. Pale and ragged.

Found you. Behind her goggles, Zanja narrowed her eyes at the prisoner, working alone in the dark. Where were the guards?

What a weird roll. Advantages to notice or realize something else useful about the scene, maybe?

Is that...? Mir widened his eyes instead. That what your rods and cones got more light.

There did not seem to be any guards at all, but Zanja noticed that the worker and the others further in had some sort of collars on them. Mir saw another much more disturbing detail; they weren't breathing and their skin looked not only pale, but void of life. Their eyes seemed to have a sickly purple color. And those eyes were turning towards the approaching light from Silas' glow rod....

Mir froze as soon as his brain processed what he saw. "They are not alive!" he managed to gasp, his fur standing and his tail puffed as bottle brush. "That is no good."
