Feasting! (Day 7 Mid evening. Camp!)

[Farissa Kho]

"Thank you, Silas."

Farissa grinned and gave Zizzy a high-five. "Well, someone needs to dress up for the occassion. I can't expect my fellow Knight here to bedazzle us all with his wardrobe," she teased Corvin with a light-hearted laugh.

"So, food and ghost stories, huh? That sounds great."

[Byron Mik]

"I always look good, so I guess I just assumed the rest of you are slacking. I applaud Knight Farissa for trying to freshen up her game," he smirked.

"I know Silas appreciates it. Jedi in training may know peace but they are not dead. Seems like he has a little Jedi Cop in him as well, eh buddy."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"You should give credit where it's do." Silas replied with a grin, bit sure what exactly Byron meant about the comment about jedi cop.

"Plus, I apparently need to practice my flirting." Farissa had said as much herself. "And Master Ogrus said it was okay, as long as I don't leave a string of broken hearts behind me."

He looked Byron over for a moment. "but, I dunno Cap. I think your wardrobe could use a little work if you want to be called fashionable."

“Classic Jedi, the only look I will ever need to punch the bad guys,” he joked.

“I save the classy tuxedo for when I really want to knock them dead.”

[Corvin Zell]

"Only clothes I wear are what'll survive a week through a swamp." Corvin said with a shrug. "That's my rule."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

That brought a gleam to Silas's eyes. "So, if I can garuntee it will survive a weak in the swamp, you'll wear anything I make you?" The young man asked, ideas starting to float in his head already. He could do a lot of things, he just needed to make sure the stuff was sturdy.

[Farissa Kho]

"Ooo, careful Corvin. You might end up looking too fabulous if you let mr. Designer here make you something," she giggled and sat down. Oh well, this white dress was going to be messy after tonight, but it wasn't like she was going to have any chance to wear it on Ilum.

[Corvin Zell]

Corvin scowled. "Maybe. But just so it's clear, I'm never gonna want to be about to jump into some nasty stuff, and stop and go 'oh dearie me, my fancy dinner jacket'!" It was a surprisingly good impersonation of an upper-class accent, perhaps from Coruscant, or Alderaan.

He cleared his throat. "Stew's up. Grab a bowl. I'll serve." His voice was extra rough for those few words.

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"So nothing too fancy." He grinned. "I can work with that I suppose."

He looked around the table, the girls had first dibs of food so there was no rush to go and get some. "What color do you think he will look good in?" Silas asked the group, might as well gather opinions.

[Farissa Kho]

Farissa might as well get the train started on the food, and did as Corvin asked.

"Hmmm... green or brown does suit him very well. Fits with the whole rugged outdoorsman look he has. Unless you can get him to shave."

"I think getting him to shave would take more rope then we have on hand.." Silas said, his tone a little teasing. "I can work with green and brown though."

[Byron Mik]

“As much as I enjoy the shaving habits of Jedi Knights, we going to have some ghost stories or what?” he offered.

[Corvin Zell]

Smirking, Corvin ladled up a generous portion of stew for Farissa. "Shave? Not likely." He chuckled.

He shot a scowl over Byron's way. "You want a ghost story, you tell one. Just make sure the line keeps moving."

“I guess shaving is a sacred Jedi Knight rite of passage, that’s a new one,” Byron said warmly.

“Well I was promised ghost stories but if I have to start then I got a few bone chilling stories for the masses, rated Jedi 14 and up for violence, scariness, and ill-fated romances. Might leave out the romance, probably too much for some of you.”

[Zizzy Roosh]

"Apparently Silas is into the romance." Zizzy teased. She grabbed a bowl and moved up to Corvin. "Some of your finest stew please. And green is a great colour."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Sure am!" Silas repleid with a chuckle, his tone turnign a bit teasign a moment later. "Want to go on a date sometime, Meli?" That was probably not the best way to ask, but it's all in good fun.

"But lets hear your best, Byron. Then someone else can take a turn?"

Zizzy even managed to get a smile out of Corvin, at least a small one. Surely an achievement. "Yeah it is. Us greenfolk gotta stick together." He ladled her a good portion, too.

[Byron Mik]

Byron chuckled and shook his head at Silas and then sat down with his stew and thought for a moment before he said, “I got one.”

“A Republic Frigate was engaged in battle over a civilized Republic world against the...” he considered possible new company and adjusted the story, “A ruthless band of pirates and mercenaries who had come into the system to steal resources. Ensign Hok was on duty when the frigate was truck and got caught in the gravity well of the planet.”

The frigate came apart over a civilized region creating a firestorm of debris that lit the countryside on fire from the fighting. Ensign Hok luckily got to an escape pod before the end and got to the surface safely but all the sensors alerted him that the outside was dangerous temperatures in excess of 400 degrees outside and toxic atmosphere from the wreckage and fighting. So he was stuck by himself in what could be his tomb if he didn’t get help.”

“So he waited, he removed his uniform as the temperature inside had risen steadily despite the life support systems trying to maintain comfortable conditions. Nearly twelve hours passed before he heard a knocking at the bulk head opening. He blinked and checked outside conditions, nothing could be living in the fire storm outside so he thought he just imagined it.”

“Another twelve hours passed and the knocking returned the same rhythmic pattern, tap-tap-tap… then taptaptaptap.”

Byron continued, “Still the conditions were beyond anything an organic could survive. So he started to check the system to make sure it was not giving him false readings but everything came back nominal.”

“Twelve more hours and again the tapping returned, the same pattern and still nothing could survive.”

Byron finished with, “Ensign Hok thought he was going crazy when the he heard a new sound some six hours later, the bulk head was forced open by a rescue team and they were surprised to find him inside. The beacon on the pod had malfunctioned and they would have missed it if not for one of the crew having sighted children hiding in the ruined structure. Everything was charred black from fire and heat outside except a small tea set and doll at the door. No sign of the sighted children was ever found either.”

[Ares Pax]

"It's supposed to be vanilia." Said Ares under his breath, but put the pudding away for now and took part in the food. He tried not to look at Farissa's dress, thinking hard of Ayura instead.

Corvin was rewarded with a bright smile for his efforts. "We are definitely the greenfolk, thank you Corvin." She tucked in and listened in rapt attention as Byron told his tale. "Oooooooooh! Space ghost children! And a happy ending. Nice story Byron."
