[Ares Pax]

Ares stood in front of Master Jaric's tent, a bit nervous. He could barely sleep during the night, and he felt himself yawn on occasion.

[Jaric Kaedan]

Jaric seemed to be in a particularly grumpy mood this morning, judging from his frown, as he came to join Ares.

"Good morning," he said, a bit more terse than usual.

[Ares Pax]

Ares frowned. "Is there a problem Master Jaric?" He asked simply, for now. He was a bit worried, suddenly.

[Jaric Kaedan]

Jaric sighed. "My apologies... I am still digesting the news of our recent addition."

That seemed to calm him down somewhat. "How are you today, Ares?"

[Ares Pax]

Ares nodded. "I understand master. His presence is unexpected." He spat the last word.

"I am.... pensieve. I feel. Worried, perhaps."

[Jaric Kaedan]

"About your vision, or is it something else bothering you?" if it was something else, he could easily take a guess as to what or who. .

[Ares Pax]

"Possibly both, Master." He took a deep breath. "Erm." He fell silent. "I did not think I said this, but I appreciate your teaching master. Without your teaching, I don't know where I would be. Or what."

[Jaric Kaedan]

"You don't need to thank me, Ares. I only did what was right when you needed a new direction." Jaric wasn't one to take praise most of the time.

[Ares Pax]

Ares sighed. "Still...the vision yesterday...I think your teaching saved me. Juyo is..." he smiled, though it wasn't a happy smile. "I almost lost myself. I was on the edge. Perhaps even over it."

[Jaric Kaedan]

Jaric grunted softly, nodding and looking over to Ares. "What happened in your vision?"

[Ares Pax]

"I ugh.... Do you know Ayura Moon, master?" He started from where he could, a bit nervous. "Of course you do, she is a bit younger than myself. She lost her parents in similar circumstances. She was in my vision, dueling Jaina Von." His voice was cold, his feelings frozen beneath his mask of normalcy. He didn't spit the name, no matter how much he wanted to.

[Jaric Kaedan]

He inhaled sharply. "I know her, yes. She might've gone a similar path to you, learn how to not be consumed by thoughts vengeance, if not for her mother..." Jaric murmured disapprovingly.

"I take it it did not to well for her in your vision?"

[Ares Pax]

Ares frowned, then curious. "What about her mother, Master?" That was something he didn't know.

[Jaric Kaedan]

"Duchess Sephone Moon," he said at first, tensing a little at the name. "Ayura's father was a jedi, her mother is not. Unlike your parents, the Jedi did not really approve of their pairing, especially as the duchess seemed to have little interest in staying out of her daughter's life once Ayura came to the temple. I sometimes suspect her mother is also a driving force in Ayura's lust for revenge, distracting her from the focus and discipline that you have found."

Jaric shrugged. "But that has no bearing on you, young student."

[Ares Pax]

"Duchess Sephone Moon," he said at first, tensing a little at the name. "Ayura's father was a jedi, her mother is not. Unlike your parents, the Jedi did not really approve of their pairing, especially as the duchess seemed to have little interest in staying out of her daughter's life once Ayura came to the temple. I sometimes suspect her mother is also a driving force in Ayura's lust for revenge, distracting her from the focus and discipline that you have found."

Jaric shrugged. "But that has no bearing on you, young student."

"Duchess? I...I didn't know." He felt ashamed of that. He only knew a little of her story. He should have known more. "That's...unfortunate. Does her mother still intervene herself? If I..if I may ask, Master?" He gulped, audibly. "It...it may. I have..I mean...we have. We have...attached. To each other. Master. Jaric."

[Jaric Kaedan]

"She tries," he murmured. It didn't seem like he was a huge fan of the mother in question. "I don't really keep too much track of what she does. Sephone Moon is not a woman who is easy to track if she does not want you to, and she doesn't like other people keep tabs on her."

Jaric looked over to Ares with a firm and stoic scowl. "You and Ayura?" he sighed. "I understand it can be difficult to not be drawn to others at your age, Ares, but I do not think this is a good idea."

[Ares Pax]

"She tries," he murmured. It didn't seem like he was a huge fan of the mother in question. "I don't really keep too much track of what she does. Sephone Moon is not a woman who is easy to track if she does not want you to, and she doesn't like other people keep tabs on her."

Jaric looked over to Ares with a firm and stoic scowl. "You and Ayura?" he sighed. "I understand it can be difficult to not be drawn to others at your age, Ares, but I do not think this is a good idea."

Ares frowned. "I...see, Master. May I ask...erm. Why? Is it about the whole attaching thing?" He was definitely nervous.

[Jaric Kaedan]

"That is one reason," he didn't grumble, but if he had a beard he might've grumbled into it. "The other is the concern that it would have a negative effect on your own focus and discipline, Ares. Ayura does not have the same training as you do - the training I helped you with - and she still carries much darkness within herself over what happened."

[Ares Pax]

Ares was silent. "She does." He took a deep breath, trying to recall his breathing exercises. "But so do I. You're training saved me Master. Don't you think it possible that I could save Ayura?" He sighed. "I...she deserves better than to wallow in bitterness, and I..maybe I can help her."

[Jaric Kaedan]

Jaric was as stoic as ever as he looked at Ares. "Are you saying that because of your feelings for her, or because of your duties as a jedi?"
