Datapad Discovery (Day 6 Early Eve DLH)

“I don’t know about you, but after today, I kinda hope it’s nothing. I need to unfry my brain, not unlock some age old hidden mystery—hey, look.” Eir pointed to the screen, it seemed their search had turned up something.

Silas nodded. he rather umderstood that, but then he had been biurying himself in age old mysteries to maybe not have to think so much about girls. A subject he had been spending too much time on since his talk with Master Ogrus.

"Oh! Two other trainees? " Silas murmured as he glanced at the screen. "That could be our grafitti artists ya know. Should we see if we can find any information out about that?" He asked, shifting slightly to put a little more space between them. Somethign abotu searchign for information on ancient lovers with a girl, and Eir's earlier comment about the test, naking him a bit more self conscious about how close together they had been.

Eir shot Silas a quizzical look as he moved away, she hadn’t even realised, and didn’t make the connection. “Sure, I’m curious now. I’m invested,” she emphasised.

"Cool! And since you're the one that found this last bit of information, why don't you lead the way again?" She seemed to have the force on her side after all. "If they were more recent students they might even still be alive."

"Not that I think we should call them up and ask if they carved their names into the temple here or anything."

Leaning forward to refine their search, deadpanning the entire time, “yes, hello? Hi, we’re on Auratera and we were just wondering if you happened to deface a centuries-old Temple while you were here? What’s that? No, this isn’t the Jedi Service Corps. No, no, ma’am, please, you don’t need to leave your house. No one is— ma’am? Ma’am, I do not recommend setting your belongings on fire and fleeing to the Outer Rim.”

The joiking earned Eir a playful jab in the ribs with Silas's elbow. "Could you even imagine actually getting that call, and being responsible." Silas asked with a soft chuckle. "A couple of trainees calling you up to ask about the heart you and your old lover drew while kissing in a abandoned temple."

"I don't know what I'd do." Die maybe? That seemed likely.

Eir laughed warmly, rocking sideways on her seat as she leaned away from the playful elbow, “who knows? maybe these ones are still together? That’s totally a thing that happens.” There was a hint of pleading in her tone, an unrecognised longing for the idea of romance in lonely galaxy.

"Maybe." Silas replied with a nod. "It's a rare thing among the jedi, but it's not a impossibility. Master Ogrus told me that himself."

His lips curled into a wry smile. "Though it's likely not the easiest path they could of walked." Which was perhaps a bit sad.

[Eir]

Abruptly, two ideas that had been sitting in the back of her mind finally connected. “Oh, new theory,” she turned in her seat, “what if Rialto was our mystery graffitist, declaring his undying love for Master Kowuks? Masters often go by their first name.”

While they were definitely from after the time of Rialto, they were still probably super-dead; it had still been hundreds of years ago, just not quite as many.

On the other hand, there wasn't any indication that they were expelled from the Order or anything.

"I suppose that's possible." Silas murmured as the next likely pair came up super dead too. "Sadly I didn't find anything about Master Kowulks last name either."

"A lot of information has been lost over the years after all." He glanced at Pixie. "On the good side it looks like these two passed the test here. So if it was them, maybe they stayed together."

[Eir]

“I hope so,” she agreed. Eir tapped her claws on the desk, lost in her own thoughts for a few moments, “well, I’m out of ideas, but... unrelated...” She reached for the console once more, initiating a search for information on a Jedi Sembylus.

"Oh?" He raised a eyebrow. "What's up?" He asked as he helped her define her search parameters. Sometimes these things were a bit tricky after all.

[Eir]

“Just a name someone dropped. Another arkanian, so I was curious.” As the search sifted through the archives, she realised that she probably should have put in the time frame, so the bots didn’t have to crawl centuries of records.

"Mmmm." He gave a brief nod at that, it probably meant that it was something important to her, but he really didn't want to pry.

"Well, just let me know how I can help then."

For one reason or another, Eir was not able to find a picture of the Arkanian in question. Information about him seemed to be hard to come by. All she managed was a name and a picture. In the picture, he looked to be approaching, but not quite middle age; perhaps the same age as Jaric, although genetic engineering made that a bit more difficult to judge. He had a serious, perhaps even severe expression.

And he looked very, very familiar somehow.

Eir crinkled her nose, “I think I’ve seen that guy before, or that guy’s brother, or something.” She shrugged it off, transferring the image to her datapad for reasons she couldn’t quite identify.

"Doesn't look familiar to me." But then he hadn't recognized the name in the least either. "Could you find anything out about him? Maybe if he fought in the war?"

[Eir]

"I guess we could try the casualty lists?" she suggested, "it sounded like he would be similar in age to the Masters, or a bit older?" At fourteen, Eir didn't have the best grip on the 20-40 age range.

"Hrm, you could always ask the various masters about him as well. It's not like the jedi are all that numerous, if he spent much time on Coruscant then they might know him."

He paused. "Heck, he might of even been here at one point."
