“I mean you can force information out of people, just with your charms and wits and forceful personality. Should be easy for you,” he responded.
“How much more could you be, if you set aside such ambition and accepted the peace within and without? Seriously though, neither of us is going to flip sides here. We are set on our paths, perhaps as it should be, but we can try and respect the decisions each of have made to get to where we are now,” he said warmly.

Drascovina smiled like a cat who'd gotten into the cream. "Well..." She purred. "I can hardly deny that."
The smile vanished as he went on, her mouth tight. She stared at him a few moments, her blue eyes hard. "Hmph." She took a little sip of her wine. "Perhaps so." She smiled. "Still, another thing to learn, Jedi Cop. Sith are never satisfied." Her eyes glinted. "But I shall cease my mockery of your order for now." Privately, she resolved to send her best zingers in an email later.

“It just makes polite discussion difficult when we are tearing down our respective affiliations simply because of tradition,” he responded.
“Never satisfied? So how does that work as soon as you achieve a goal you instantly need a need a new one or do you choose a task that is impossible and forever strive towards it?”

Drascovina shrugged one shoulder. "There is always more to accomplish. When has being satisfied ever achieved anything? No, it is ambition that drives change."
The waiter arrived with the dishes. He set them down; ladies first, of course. After topping up both glasses, he retreated.

"Good point, I suppose we have to maintain goals to keep moving forward it just sounds so much more menacing when you say it," he agreed.

"Menacing?" She laughed, raising one hand to her mouth as the strange musical peals descended.
She smirked. "I shall take that as a compliment, Jedi Cop." One eyebrow went up. "This isn't all just a trick to get information out of me, is it?" She took a bite of her crab cakes, popping a little morsel between her lips.

“I am not that reckless to think I can outwit a Sith at a game of deception and guile, just making conversation to try and understand you. You know normal people stuff, not everything, at least to me, is a game of dominance. Sometimes you just want to relax and enjoy a fun meal with interesting people,” he responded.
“If I wanted information I would just ask.”

She rolled her eyes, although not in an unkindly way. At least, not on a Drascovina scale. "Everything is a game of dominance." She smirked. "But games are supposed to be fun, you know."
She sighed. "Very well, then. Tell me more about Byron, then."

Re: [Day 6 - ME] Dangerously Dark Dinner Dating
"Hrrm... well my parents were killed in action during the war. They died helping others or so I was told and left my sister and I to fend for ourselves. I guess normally we should have been set but there was a lot of chaos and uncertainty and we had to do what we had to do. My sister fell in with the Black Sun, gangsters that plague Coruscant, and kept me fed. Until the Jedi found us and took me in, and I had not seen her since. Normal for the Jedi," he replied sipping the wine slowly while he spoke and ate.
"I have been with the Jedi and trained to be a Jedi Knight, I believe in defending others and although I would never personally admit it I am probably one of the better duelists of our class, but I don't like to brag. It is unbecoming a Jedi to take such pride in such things. On the side I tinker with things, rebuild engines, speeders, or even useless droids."
"This is the farthest I have ever been from Coruscant," he finished. "But I doubt I will ever get tired of seeing the wonders of the galaxy or meeting interesting people, even the Sith have been interesting, well some."

Credit where credit's due, Drascovina seemed to actually be listening as he spoke. She continued to eat and drink, little dainty bites and sips; her table manners were perfect. Aristocratic training no doubt, unless it was also a part of Sith training.
Her lips quirked. "It sounds as though you did just admit it." She said. She tossed her hair. "As it happens, I am the best duelist in my class. Truthfully, although Sith do like to boast. But we back it up." She took a sip. "What style do you favor?"

"Soresu, I would expect that a Sith being the best at anything would make sure that everyone knew it within the sector," he joked.
"We should put our skills to the test...or not, could get misconstrued."

"Well, best among my class." Drascovina smirked. "I do know my place. There are better duelists out there... for now."
She chuckled. "Yes, it might cause some concern to see a Jedi and a Sith, swords clashing. Where did you get your sword from, anyway? Is it a family thing?"

"An old friend found it for me a few years ago, Beni, an Ithorian trader in antiquities. I used to run favors for him and he always owed me money so he made it up to me by offering me this. Been with me ever since, it was a nice way to get the things the Jedi don't provide. Beni has always done right by me, and I try to look out for him. A gangster tried to mug him recently so I introduced his skull to the counter at high speed," he said casually.
"I don't abide bullies. Is your sword a family heirloom?"

"Ooh, I do like hearing about that." Drascovina purred, her eyes glinting. Of course, establishing dominance was different from bullying; that was just part of the natural order of things.
She nodded. "Indeed." She rose gracefully to her feet. One hand went to the ornate curved hilt of her sword, drawing it an inch or two, no more. There was the rasp of fine steel. "It goes back in my family for countless generations. I intend to use it until I have the honor of crafting my own lightsaber, of course. Then..." She shrugged one shoulder. "We shall see. Perhaps I will return it to the family. Or hold onto it, as a keepsake. It is mine, after all."

"Grant it to your next of kin I guess... Sith have families... Jedi, in general, don't. I will probably just pass it on to a youngling that needs it to grow," he responded.

"Is that so?" Both eyebrows went up, even as she lowered herself back into her chair, fully re-sheathing her sword.
She shook her head, blonde hair swaying. "I never understood that. Why do Jedi generally not have families?"

“My guess is the idea of attachment, we are not supposed to attach strong feelings to objects or even people and maintain I guess a more general compassion to all things. If you have no deep attachment to any single thing then you can more easily let go it and not let it control you,” he responded.
“This means that we can have friends and even people we like but we can’t allow that to control us to the point that we focus solely on those we care about to the detriment of others. So that makes having a family difficult since you have a vested interest in your children and spouses. Yet Jedi do have children, probably more often than the Master’s would like to admit.”
“They think we don’t notice things but we see. So yeah Jedi don’t have families but there are bloodlines of Jedi… I mean Master Satele Shan is descended from Revan and Bastila Shan, for one,” he replied.

She pursed her lips. "Fascinating. Does it not strike you as curious that one of your most well-known Jedi heroes is herself descended from a merging?"
Again, Drascovina shrugged. "There is actually a curious mirror in Sith philosophy. Attachments can fuel our passions. But they can also act as chains, which it is our ultimate goal to break. Eventually, we must learn to gather our passions without crutches. Still, it is interesting to arrive at the same point from such disparate beginnings."

"Well I think it says that Jedi like sexual intercourse like everyone else," he said honestly.
"So what does that say about the longevity of Sith unions? Children and spouses seem like the ultimate weakness, by that philosophy.

"Is that so?" One eyebrow went up.
"Yes, well..." She paused her meal for a moment, setting fork aside. "Sith unions tend to be rather... tempestuous affairs. Those that last longer tend to have something else in their favor. Politics, or complementary abilities." She smirked. "Not so different than Republic marriages, I expect, although the reasons may differ."
She shrugged. "But yes, the greatest Sith must be able to cast husbands and children aside. I don't claim that it is easy. Not everyone can achieve unlimited power."
