Eir grimaced, looking for the signs Zizzy had described. Her eyes widened as Byron recounted his information and though she was mentally throwing salt like rice at a wedding - which is a categorically bad idea, by the way - she was also processing the outcomes of Byron's information being true. Screwing up her nose, "how to we get the killik's attention without making them think we're hostile? To them, we might just look like another Dewbright mob, bent on revenge."

"Brainwashing people? How do they do that?" Zanja reclaimed her binocs and examined the damage Zizzy had pointed out. "Whoever started it, the Killik can't just go around stealing people." She scowled into the binoculars.
"If they're not dead, getting those people back to town would cool everybody off. Wonder how easy it'd be to sneak in there and have a look." She lowered the binoculars, frowning. "Or just ask them, if they understand Basic. Has anybody from Dewbright bothered trying that?"

"Getting the people back would be wonderful. We would still need to find a way for the settlers and the Killiks to communicate though. Otherwise someone is going to do something dumb and it'll all start over again." Zizzy had read enough Galactic history to know that was how it always went.
"I agree Zanja, I think we should figure out how to talk to the Killiks first, before we approach them. If we just snuck in and tried to take people out, or got too close to the hives without communicating the right way, it would probably make things worse."

“I advise patience before we approach the killiks, I think there may be more going on. Luc mentioned his wife went missing while leaving work and she worked in the city, it seems out of place for the killiks to head into the city unless they are trying to expand their nest which does happen. But the city seems like an unlikely target unless something is pushing them in that direction,” he said thoughtfully.
“Keep in mind I don’t think anyone has seen the killiks actually do the kidnapping though the evidence shows someone is either trying to rile them up or stumbled upon their nest and made poor decisions.”
He finished with, “If they are taking people and forcing them into their hive I don’t suspect it is to be malicious.”

Nodding, “the killiks might not realise they’re influencing people, uh, if they’re brainwashing people, it could be an accident. There are a lot of variables and a lot of unknowns at play here. I,” she paused, “we should ask Knight Corvin, and come back after dark. Maybe we aren’t seeing any killiks because they’re nocturnal?”

“Agreed we should speak with the more experienced Jedi,” he responded.
“We do know a few things, the killiks and locals are interacting and most likely violently, most likely some of the locals may be in the nest as part of the hive, and the locals are very riled up. This is a mess that building towards a violent confrontation.”

"Jedi Corvin and Master Mura might know more about the Killiks. Do you think we can pursuade the people not to do anything rash while we investigate?" She thought they would at least listen to Master Orgus.

"I think we can delay them, but not long without a solution," he said honestly.
