Start of round 2!

Farissa is Engaged with the Black Sun Major.
Eir and Esla are at Short Range to the Major, Farissa, and Minion Group #1 (who have Cover, giving one Setback to all Ranged Attacks targeting them).
Minion Group #2 are at Medium Range from the vehicle.
Zizzy and Zanja are at Short Range and can Maneuver to the back of the vehicle. Opening the door is a Skullduggery check at Average.

When stealth fails, go for speed. Zanja dashed over to the speeder's rear door as quickly as she could. The locking mechanism was a simple one, fortunately, intended more to keep prisoners on the inside in rather than keep interlopers out. A few jiggles with a credit chip and a pin, and it fell open for her easily.

---
Maneuver: move to engaged with the rear doors of the vehicle
Action: break the lock!

D3 EN Episode III: Revenge of the Youth--Skullduggery average to open the truck door, boost from Farissa: 1eP+3eA+1eB+2eD 4 successes, 1 advantage
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

The book suggests extra success on Skullduggery could "indicate additional insights that the acting character gains about the nature of the opposition. This might suggest that a Shadow could better plan a strategy against a current foe to avoid future complications" and Advantage might be used to "identify an additional target or gain additional items."

I'm just breaking a lock here, which isn't very fancy, but maybe Zanja does it quickly and subtly enough that the Black Sun crew won't realize what she's up to yet?

"What's going on?" Zanja could hear from within as she undid the lock.

Meanwhile, the Black Sun major drew a vibrodagger and attacked the Knight that had gotten up in his face, and the two of them were going at it. He managed a stab at the Pantoran, and she bore the brunt of the attack as she used his momentum against him to throw him down on the ground.

Eir didn't want to risk firing at the Major while Farissa had him engaged, instead steadying her arm on the barrier and trying to pick off one of the lackeys in cover.

One of the two behind cover stumbled back from the ray of stun that hit him, seemingly in a daze. "Son of a bantha!" the remaining one exclaimed and fired wildly at Eir. It didn't hit but it gave some opening fire for his friends.

Zizzy nodded at Zanja and climbed inside to check on the kids. If it proved to be dark she did have her trusty flashlight.

"Hey, kids. Psst. I'm Zizzy Roosh and we're here to rescue you."

The glow rod did come in handy as it wasn't much light inside for the prisoners. And she could make out 6 folks all together, Reg included.

"Are we being rescued?"
"The Jedi!" Reg exclaimed
"Isn't she a bit short to be a jedi?"

"Yes the Je..., hey I'm not that short!" Her hands shot to her hips. "Okay, listen up everyone, we're getting you out of here and we're doing it quietly. Black Sun won't even notice. Got it? Everyone stick with me and Zanja, and don't make any more noise about people being small or anything like like that."

She was getting quite good at these little speeches.

"Augh!" the second one was hit by Silas' shot, and he slumped against the vehicle before sliding down to the ground. It cleared his view into the open vehicle, where he noticed that the two of them must've turned on the speeder's commlink before they got out, and someone on the other end of the line was asking about what was going on.

The three that had been led on a wild goose chase originally now decided to take revenge for their boss and their comrades, and opened fire on Silas. It seemed their rage served them well as their volley of fire struck home, but in return Silas could see an ideal angle to return fire.

(Round 2)

With the amount of blaster fire flying around, it seemed that peaceful discourse wasn't going to be an option anymore. Esla kicked herself for being so naive or ineffective to stop the thugs. Why would stop anyway? They were doing something illegal and probably feared their bosses more than some kids with blasters. She tried to survey the situation to see where she could be of use and saw that there was another group approaching them. Lifting her blaster up, she fired a shot. The shot went wide and missed the group.

Let's call that a warning shot, yeah.

Lean and gangly as he was, Silas was far tougher then he looked. The bolt from the blaster was well placed though and elected a grunt of pain from the young man.

He was far from going down though, reaching into the pouch at his side he pulled out a stim back and injected it into his side. He wanted to set it to stun but at this range that would be pointless so he took a moment to aim instead

Incidental: draw stim
Manuever: stim myself
2 strain: aim
Action: pew the healthy minion group

One of the trio stumble and go down on one knee from Silas' shot, effectively out of the equation now. The other two were visibly distressed and angry about the situation, and weren't thinking clearly as they squeezed the trigger several times at Silas again.

"No!" Esla cried out when the leader gave the order to shoot Farissa and quickly jumped in to deter that from happening, keeping the pressure on the group so that they would think twice. She tried to draw a bead on them but it seemed her blaster bolt went far off once more. Perhaps she should be thankful she didn't hit anyone by accident. Could that count as suppressing fire?
