“Pretty good gets you shaved ice,” the girl promised, “and super good means sprinkles and a wafer on your ice cream.”

The twi'lek grinned. "Super good it is, then."
...
That was enough to keep the youngling in line, literally and figuratively, until arriving at the museum. It was easily recognizable, with large signs, bright colors, and even some educational statues out front. The children seemed to be united in looking around and staring as they waited for the older students to guide them.

First order of the day was to feed them, if only to keep Dacen from consuming the experiments once they were inside. Eir arranged for a massive bowl of neep fries, smothered in melted cheese and thick, brown gravy, giving the kids forks to attack it with, and what might generously be described as a sausage-onna-bun for each of them. Her own sausage-onna-bun was chock full of relish, onions, cheese, and tangy sauces in red and yellow.
"I can keep an eye on them, if you want to get yourself something, too," she told Esla. The kids would be preoccupied for at least three whole minutes by the food.

Fortunately, Dacen did seem perfectly willing to accept the substitution of actual food for whatever fabrics he could get his hands on. The younglings crowded around a cafeteria table, chatting. If anyone recognized them as Jedi children, they didn't let on. Coruscant was a big place, full of strange things. The Hutt family bedecked in matching vacation shirts drew a lot more attention.
For a few minutes, the two senior students were left to their own devices.

When they arrived at the museum, Esla perhaps found herself more distracted by the large signs and bright colours then she was prepared for. She would look at a few things at the lobby, wondering what sort of reasoning went into making such contraptions and what were they even for? However, before they explored the exhibits proper, it seemed that they were going for food after all. At least that would nip some complaints in the bud.
She gave Eir a nod and looked at the large variety of food available. Whatever made the food so shiny, greasy and saucy, she didn't seem too enthused about. In the end, she seemed to have returned with merely a plain bun from the cafeteria and settled down at the table where Eir was seated.

Eir polished off her meal quickly, it was going to be weeks before they'd even see any fatty, sugary street foods like this again, and the half-arkanian was determined to enjoy it. "You ready for the trials?" she asked the other girl.

Esla wasn't really in a hurry to eat her meal, likely more got something because everyone else was eating rather than wanting food herself. She would peel small morsels from her bun and pop it in her mouth. After taking in one piece and slowly chewing on it, she would look to Eir at her question. She seemed to consider it for a moment and gave a slow shake of her head.

"I don't think anyone is, really," Esla's silence grated on the half-arkanian, but Eir persisted, if only as an example to the kids. "It's all good and well to not look like you're nervous, but maybe we get nervous for a reason."

Esla pulled another morsel from her bun but abstained from eating it just yet. She paused for a moment and tried to form an opinion about that. Probably vocalize it properly, if anything. "...It's hard to know what to expect from us." She finally said as an offering.

The kids were still eating; having some food seemed to keep nearby objects safe from their ravages. The two babysitters still had a bit more time.

Eir nodded in agreement, tapping her claws on the tabletop in a rapid tattoo. “Still, I’m kinda excited, too. Once I got over the shock.”

Esla did momentarily cast a glance back at the children eating to make sure that they were there as she remembered what they were doing here. The last thing she wanted to happen were any incidents. Her gloved hand idly pulled morsels from the bun, perhaps more as an idle action than wanting to eat anymore. She pursed her lip in thought before bringing up the question. "Do you think much about the future?"

"Never really did," Eir got up, the food was almost gone and it looked like a fair portion of it had ended up on the kid's faces, "but I guess I have to now."

Esla finished converting the bun into morsel bits and followed Eir's cue to stand up as well. She disposed of the bun and cleared their table if they had to. She gave a passing glance at the children as she did a quick head count once more to make sure all of their ducks were lined up before they braved the treacherous maze that was the museum ahead of them.
"...Did you ever think you were going to be a Jedi?" She asked timidly as they waited for the children, meaning before they were taken into training of course.

"I barely knew what a Jedi was when they found me," but I bet you were born to it, Eir eyed the blonde up and down. Fetching a pile of napkins, she started handing them out to the younglings.

Esla gave a sympathizing nod at that as she followed Eir, giving a nod as she took the initiative to hand out napkins to the youth. She did wish to herself that she thought of that earlier, especially if they were going to be running around and touching things. However, she did step in to collect said napkins. "What do you think you will be doing after becoming a Jedi?"

"Right..." Esla murmured, feeling rather silly for asking the obvious with the answer she had been given. "I haven't seen much of the galaxy. I think new places might be nice. I hear we might be going to new places during our training too."

Esla took in the answer with a pause and returned with another question. "Do you know what Ilum is like?"
