Taime, sensing that perhaps he should try to see what his powers can actually do outside of the classroom, steps up closer.

"You don't want to do that. We've got backup coming." He gives a flick of his hands, his only twitch showing his attempt to affect the two brother's minds.

But his nerves are evident in his handling, if not in his demeanor. His dilemma of whether it is right or wrong to affect their minds this way seeps into his handling. He negates his own will in the process of extending it.

O'vala took out her commlink and stared at it. She didn't really know who to call. Well, Farissa was cute. But that wasn't a reason to call! The miralian decided to call the other miralian! "Come on, pick up!"

She ran over and tried to flip in, all cool like. But she ended up messing up her flip. "Oh! Uh, Mandalorians! We're, like, both differently armed! Let's make it fair! No sabers, no blasters, no armor. Just fists!"

She thought it'd be a good idea, at least.

The Mandalorians on the other hand had a good laugh over the cartwheeling green kid, almost having to stop for a breather at the scene.

"Ahahahah, oh man, that's comedy gold. But that's also your three seconds, kids."

Thanks to O'vala's Advantages, everyone gets a Boost die on their Initiative roll as the Mandalorians recover from their bout of laughter. (O'vala does not hurt herself, just makes a fool of herself)

Byron saw no need to give any more warning and rushed at the leader with his sword drawn he made a an overhead swing but the Mandalorian was ready for the attack but did not see him sweep the leg like the training dummy had done to the young Jedi in training earlier in the day.

OOC: Using 3 Advantage to knock Javask Prone. Maneuver to move to Engaged, 2 strain for second Maneuver to Aim now at 10 strain. Melee Defense 1.

Taime wasn't going to disgrace either of his families by being a coward. They'd tried to work this out another way and failed. Now was the time for action.

Drawing his family's sword and his parrying dagger, he moved closer and attacked the one also carrying a sword, hoping that would give him an advantage.

/ooc has ancient sword, so has defense 1 from it. 1 defense also from parrying dagger. Using one maneuver to move to engaged. taking 2 strain

It being his first fight though, he doesn't manage to score a solid hit. But he manages to tangle up Perl a bit, so someone has a better shot.

Ares, being a FORCE OF JUSTICE, sweeps in after Byron as he draws his training saber, and thwacks Javask over the head with the oversized cattle-prod.

Ares takes 2 strain to draw his weapon and move to engage, but in returns deal a whoopin' 6 Strain damage to Javask.

"Why, you little..." Javask grunts as he scrambles to his feet, narrowly avoiding more stun-sticks to the head as he moves over to his sister to assist her. "Do something, Perl!"

OOC: Javask uses his Action to get back up, and a Maneuver to Assist Perl.

"I'm working on it!" she growls and swings the vibrosword at her brother's nearest attacker - Byron. The blade connects and slaps his weapon out of his hands.

D1 Perl avenges her brother with a Boost from him.: 1eP+2eA+1eB+2eD+1eS 2 successes, 3 advantage


Perl deals 7 damage before Soak to Byron, and uses her Advantages to make him drop his weapon.

Byron was taken back by the attack but his defenses were quick and pushed the blade away from his body but the effort was rewarded by the blade flying from his hand… now unarmed with a Mandalorian staring him down.

OOC: 3 strain for Parry to reduce damage by 3 to 4 and then Soak takes the rest, no damage now at 7 Strain total and no Melee defense.

With an acrobatic flourish, O'vala draws her saber too and leaps in to intercept the last Mandalorian... who drunkenly manages to stumble away from her attack.

He hit, though it wasn't as solid as he'd prefer. But it was a hit and that was something.

Byron rolled and grabbed his sword in one smooth motion, thank you Master Orgus Din for all those drills. He got to his feet and made another overhead strike but this time was faster and much more controlled! He followed that up with a backhand to the side of her helmet and then spun to kick the vibrosword from her hand with ease… the flourish giving him time to recoup his sense and take stock of the battle.

He could get used to this rush. This was Maximum Byron.

OOC: Maneuver to grab weapon 2 strain to aim, regain 2 strain from Advantage, 3 Advantage to Crit, and Triumph to kick the vibrosword to at least Short range. Damage dealt is 8 wounds total.
