It is now posted in the D3 thread, and the subject for that thread has been updated with the new dates.

That does sound like a hawk-bat to me.
You'll get there! Just remember to swoop sparingly.

The rescue will continue in about 3-4 hours. By then I will be home from work and have eaten and entertained the cat for a little.

I don't feel comfortable with waving through all this stuff, as the (un)Ancient Sword as something to be crafted was already making me apprehensive, so I think we will keep it at regular swords for now with the (un)Ancient stuff.
Just to piggyback on this, the Ancient Sword really only exists to allow those that use lightsaber to have a stand in weapon, in general it is not as good as a vibro-sword and can't really do Reflect either. It's a very uncommon weapon as vibro-swords are strictly better for most everyone else and often deadlier.
There are intentionally very few weapons outside of Lightsaber that use that skill because it is one very iconic and just a very different kind of weapon in the universe, a melee weapon with literally no real weight in the blade and yet still has force. Ultimately it is not intended as a long term weapon in most Force and Destiny and games.

*nods* I definitely understand the reasoning, and I didn't expect it to be a yes, it was mainly something I was curious about. Mainly for the reason that I think alternate weapons for lightsaber fighter's are pretty cool. Especially with how Light Sabers kinda fall off the usefulness tree when you start adding Cortosis into the mix.

I am not sure they fall off, they just don't have the Breach edge and someone investing in Cortosis is a very specific kind of person already.
This is why they generally have lower damage unmodded, but their bonuses in the hands of a Force User easily trump Cortosis. Cortosis will only keep you alive a little longer against a skilled opponent and won't protect you all that much from the Critical Injuries a skilled fighter will inflict given they start at Crit 2 and can be easily modded to 1.
Brawl is probably your best bet.

Re: OOC Chat: Shenanigans go here
It was a lot of back and forth between Hatoful and myself on the issue yesterday, as we do want you guys to have fun and all that. In the end, we settled on the ruling of crafting (un)Ancient Swords with the nescessary advantages needed to meet the absolute bare minimum of what an Ancient Sword needed in our opinion. Hence also me saying "swords" for the ruling too as it is an alternative to crafting the sword instead of buying it.
But yes, everything Byron said is also very correct in that Ancient Swords are stand-ins until the Lightsaber arrives, and in Rebellion-era games is a more "acceptable" weapon for the Force user to run around with than an an actual Lightsaber in many situations.

Re: OOC Chat: Shenanigans go here
Just to add for those worrying about Cortosis when that starts showing up it is pretty common to probably have Vicious on your weapon and low crit ratings where Lightsabers generally excel.
Remember you can stack crit rating, so say you have Crit rating 2, every 2 advantage can be used to increase the Crit adding an additional +10, so say you get 5 advantage, you use the first two to activate crit and then the next two to add +10 to the roll, and so on and so forth.

Re: OOC Chat: Shenanigans go here
Oh, I'm not worried about cortosis, as you said Critting is the more reliable way to doing damage anyways. Fact of the matter is, Silas fight's with Brawn anyways, so he isn't that bad off, and will get falling avalanche eventually. also parry is really great aganist lightsabers and all of that.
Lightsabers are much more worrisome when you are a tanky character and don't have cortosis.
I only crafted the un ancient sword because people asked about it >.>
Silas just wanted to make a regular sword for himself.
