[Day 9 - EE] Paint it White

[Byron Mik]

Byron said softly, “They are a mated pair and the female is pregnant… we should leave them be. Maybe mark the region to steer others away. Let’s back out quietly.”

“No need to rile them up for little benefit.”

[Hatoful GM]

Slowly, the squad backed off.

Ross leaned over, whispering in Byron's ear. "We could mark the cave with a beacon. Update the navmaps. Would that be your recommendation, master Jedi?"

[Byron Mik]

"Yes, no need for others to be put in harm's way," he agreed.

[Hatoful GM]

Nodding, Ross signaled to the others to move out. The patrol group moved swiftly back to the speeder.

It was only once inside again that Ross spoke. "I guess they're not doing any harm there, huh? Doesn't seem right to go in and take 'em out if they're just... being panthers, or whatever."

[Byron Mik]

"Yeah they are just ding what they naturally do," Byron agreed.

"Still pretty interesting, never seen one that close before."

[Hatoful GM]

"Yeah." Ross chuckled. "Me either, actually. From a distance, yeah. But never a pregnant one, either. Maybe. Not like I could tell."

The speeder powered up again, and they were off. "Well, that's probably the excitement for the night. Usually it's just, ice, snow, maybe some more ice."

[Byron Mik]

"The Force was with us, and both sides benefited, I consider that a win," he said calmly.

[Hatoful GM]

"Coming up on nav point two." Kris announced.

Ross shrugged. "Better than half done, then. Not very glamorous, huh? Seeing the panthers was cool, though."

[Byron Mik]

"Quiet is good I suppose, even if a little dull because too much excitement probably means something bad has happened or is going to happen," he retorted.

[Hatoful GM]

There was a soft chorus of laughter at that. "Yeah, you're getting it."

One of the soldiers clapped him on the back. "Thanks for coming along. It's been cool, having a Jedi."

[Byron Mik]

"I am glad I could be a part of this, thank you for allowing me to tag along," he said warmly.
