Down in the Dark (Zizzy)

[Hatoful GM]

"Huh." Orgus said. "Perhaps that's the lesson to be learned. A bit heavy-handed, but the Dark Side is like that sometimes."

"Do you think you should have stopped at the first book?" He asked.

[Zizzy Roosh]

She pondered that for a while. "I don't know Master. I don't think so, but maybe I feel I could have. Both of those books were full of important and useful knowledge, whereas the last one just felt wrong. It felt like it would be crossing a line."

[Orgus Din]

Orgus nodded. "The Jedi do not abhor knowledge. Far from it. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge." He recited the familiar words. "But that line is no more important than any of the others. And it must be kept in balance with each of others."

He smiled. "I think you did the right thing. And, more importantly, you knew what the right thing was. Sounds good to me."

[Zizzy Roosh]

Zizzy breathed out. She suddenly felt really tired, like she really had been in there for the whole day. But it was the good sort of tired, where you feel like you accomplished something worthwhile.

"Thank you Master. I'm really grateful. For everything. I feel like I just learned a heck of a lot and it'll take a while to process everything."

Something occurred to her. "So, did you do your trial here too... once upon a time?"

[Orgus Din]

Orgus chuckled. "That's the Zizzy I know." He nodded solemnly. "And you're welcome. It's been a true pleasure teaching you."

His expression turned a bit more sober. "I did." He nodded, glancing at her. He did not offer more information, but his manner was as open and forthright as ever; if she asked, he would probably answer more.

[Zizzy Roosh]

"Is it true that there were space-dinosaurs roaming the galaxy back then?" She smiled brightly at him. "I'm only teasing. You don't have to talk about it, I was just wondering how yours went. It must be so different for everyone."

[Orgus Din]

"Sure were." Orgus said blandly. "And it was hard to get away from 'em, in my square-wheeled speeder."

His expression turned thoughtful. "It was a bit troubling. It made me see some things in a new and unsettling light. But, I thought about it, talked about it, and, well, here I am. Millennia later." He said.
