Spiked Lines (Day 7 Mid Afternoon, Sand!)

Ther weren't that many beches that allowed fishing around dewbright, but a bit of digging allowed silas to find one, so with a few supplies for a beach a party. Not that this was really a party, more of a get together with fishing poles and a volley ball net. As well as a cooler full of water and juice, and maybe a few winecoolers... Not that a jedi youth would convince anyone to give him lightly alcoholic beverages...

Swim trunks were what Silas was wearing as he set up the beach and waitted for his friends to arrive... This shoudl be a nice end to the trip.

[Mir]

Mir was trailing Silas, clad in light shirt and trunks. His eyes were intent on Silas' poles. Fishy-fishy... He carried a small backpack, loaded with what he thought essential for such an outing. Namely, lantern for cooking and a short knife for gutting the fish. Others were free to swim at their heart's content. He was going to focus on what mattered. Food.

"Should we try to fish before the girls arrive?" Silas asked, with a glance toward Mir. Di would probablt be fairly open minded about fishy death, but Aina seemed likely to be a bit squeamish. Not that she couldn't be distracted is it came to it.

[Mir]

"Awww-yis. Fishies." Mir nodded enthusiastically. "You have some baits with you, or do we need to dig the sand?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"I brought some!" Silas replied with a grin, though digging the sands seemed like it could be a bit fun.

Setting the cooler down, he reached inside and produced a package is fishing bait. "The guy at the shop said this was the best, but I've never really used it before." His fishing knowledge came from video games.

[Mir]

"Yusss. No need to waste time, the time doesn't like that." Mir quipped happily, blinking his eyes behind his BeyRan shades. "Uh, which one." the young farghul leaned over, his snout hovering over the box of lures.

Silas pointed one out. "This was what he suggested." It looked like a good lure fo Silas, but then practically everything did.

"I should tell you I've never really fished before, so I might need you to give me some pointers."

[Mir]

"Yus. That's the one we go with them." a paw reached to seize a lure. "Can you give me a rod?" another paw reached towards the human with Mir doing a grabby gesture. "Let's get these bad boys ready."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Sure!" Silas offered one of the rods to Mir, watching tha farghul as he attached the lure. That way he could at least attempt to copy him, as Silas prepared the other rod.

"Do you think we will catch many?"

[Mir]

"Wessee. Brinetail is capricious as she is merciful." Mir nodded as he explained. "So firsta you uh... this lure is piece of metal. Silas, you doofus. Why would fishy want to eat metal." he pointed at the flashy-spiky thing on his paw. "Are you sure they said we can catch fish with these?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Yeah." Silas replied with a nod. "Apparently they are super flashy in the water and the fish mistake then for other fish?"

"The guy said it works alot better then worms!" He'd seemed so believable too.

[Mir]

"Uh, I guess. But you'd think they'd be able to smell that it's not a fish." Mir sounded suspicious. "Well, no way to find out but try." he moved his pole so that he reached the tip. "So you grab your rod like this and then you find the tip. Then you find the string and attach the bait to it. Carefully without poking yourself, yet. And then... then you find a good spot." raising his paw on his forehead Mir scanned the beach. "Like there, those stones. Let's go there. We can see the girls if they join us. But fishy more important."

"Alright!" Silas agreed with a grin, following Mir's instructions to attach the mait to the line. In his opinion girls were a bit more important then fish, especially cute girls in swimsuits, but who was he to argue.

"That does look like a good spot." He mused as he walked towards the rocks. "I think we'll catch a bunch there."

[Zanja]

Around this time, Zanja emerged from the shrubs and grass uphill, where she'd staked out a spot to change into her swimsuit. (For the record: sporty, with shorts and a cropped-tank top.) The knapsack over her shoulder bulged a bit with all her other clothes, including the long Jedi cloak, stuffed into it. She shuffled across the sand and hopped up onto the edge of a big rock. "Hey. Catch anything yet?"

"We just got started." Silas replied with a grin. "Or we were just about too." He didn't fail to notice that the zabrak girls suit came in two pieces, even it it wasn't quite as sexy as Meli's and that brought a smile to Silas' lips.

"Nice suit."

[Esla Tor]

Esla also soon appeared after Zanja too. She didn't exactly have a variety of swimming outfits. Actually, she only had one, as she wasn't exactly the swimming or beach type. She was already outdoing herself by going to the beach more than once here. Her out was the same as the first occasion, consisting of merely a short sleeve top and knee-high leggings that were adorned with black/white vertical stripes. There was a wide-brimmed hat with a large bow to shield herself from the suns. She also lugged a backpack with her things in case she needed more of her things.

She gave them a small way before making her way over to the group. It was a rather hot day but that didn't make the oceans any less appealing.

"Heya Aina." Silas called, offering the young blonde girl a friendly wave. "We're just starting fishing now! Hopefully we can catch something tasty for lunch."

"Oh, I almost forgot." He pointed out a cooler by where the tacklebox was. "I brought some drinks too in case anyoen gets thirsty."

[Esla Tor]

"Hello," she said in return with a small smile.

Esla approached the trio and laid down her backpack by the cooler, having brought her rebreather just in case. She wasn't planning on using it nor wanted to go diving but being prepared helped. She brushed some hair behind her ear and opened the cooler to have a gander. "Oh, you're really prepared...Did you bring an oven too?"

"No oven." Silas admitted with a frown. "But I brought some fire paste, so I'm sure we can manage something if we can't find driftwood or somethign to use." This was part survival trainign right? they should live it a little rough.

"Did either of you want a turn fishing in a while?" Silas asked, as he made his first cast!

[Zanja]

"Yeah, sure. I never tried it before." Zanja watched Silas cast with interest. "They just bite that hook thing? Huh. Fish aren't too smart."
