Still studying her, Corvin nodded. "Did you want to talk about it? I didn't, when I did mine." He was silent a moment, frowning. "But I kinda think that might have been a mistake."

"Oh." It was difficult to surprise Corvin, but that managed to do it. He absorbed the information with a thoughtful frown.
He shook his head. "Come on. Let's walk back. You can tell me about it on the way."

Eir settled her rucksack more securely on her shoulder and folded her arms, tucking her hands into her sleeves. She began to make her way back to Dewbright at Corvin’s side. “There’s not much to tell. I hadn’t gone far when I felt someone behind me, someone who looked like you, but wasn’t. You, uh, they told me that I couldn’t do the trial alone, that I needed help.”

Corvin grunted. "Okay." He said. He seemed to have set a fairly casual pace back, shortening his usual rapid stride.

The petite Jedi, on the other hand, was walking with purpose, apparently eager to get back to the camp site, or perhaps get away from the vergence’s dark influence. “Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t prophetic. I denied the vision was real, so it walked away,” and got lightsabered in the gut.

It wasn't hard for Corvin to adjust his pace to Eir's, although he grimaced slightly as he did.
"No, it's not." He said, his tone firm, and as rough as always. "What happened next?"

Still absorbed in her own self, Eir didn't see Corvin's expression, or she would have slowed down. "A Sith appeared," now she looked up at the handsome Knight, apologetically, "and cut you down."

"Alright." He grunted. His stoic expression showed a flicker of emotions, just for a moment, but it was hard to tell what they were.
"Was that it? Or was there more?" He asked. Seeing her glance at him, he returned an almost-smile.

Re: Down in the Dark (Eir)
Confused, tangled feelings made her insides feel heavy. It would take more than a night's sleep to unravel it all, leaving her acting almost purely on instinct. Eir genuinely believed that Corvin only asked questions he wanted the answers to. "Lord Destrus offered to make me his apprentice," it was absurdly reductive summary of the offer.

Corvin nodded. "I'm guessing you told him no."
Scowling, he shook his head as they walked along. "Anything else?"

Re: Down in the Dark (Eir)
Eir frowned and fell silent. What if I had said yes? What then? That thing wasn’t real, its promises false. Would have I walked out of there buoyed on fake hope? The questions piled up, leaving her feeling heavy and overwhelmed. Tired. Abruptly, “Silas said he had something interesting to show me. Thank you, Knight Corvin.” With that, she changed direction, heading for the ship instead.

Corvin's brows drew down, but nothing more was said.
