Semi-Urban Explorations (D2,MM,OPEN)

Corvin nodded. "They can. Not the way that you or I do, but they remember."

He gave her a smile; a hesitant one, as though it was unfamiliar to his features. "Don't be afraid of it. Pain is part of life. And this is life." He reached out, touching the tree. "Just don't let it control you."

[Eir]

Eir nodded and reached for the tree again. The moss was soft under her fingertips and cool to the touch. It seemed to be slightly cooler under the trees, though the air was thicker, something like the heavy pollution on the lower levels. The girl leaned in close to the tree and gazed up at the behemoth, "look at you," she whispered, "don't be afraid." It wasn't clear if she was talking to the tree, herself, or both.

As the others had a discussion about the old giant tree it felt to Zizzy like a good time to commune with the forest in her own way. Although she hadn't yet learned to sense life directly, the force often spoke to her in the wilds. It was part of why exploring with Grandma had always been so much fun.

Finding a relatively flat rock with a few tree roots snaking across it, she sat cross-legged with her hands on her knees and closed her eyes. Her tendrils were still alive with the sounds and feelings of the jungle as she reached out to the force.

Ares moved next to Zizzy, trying not to disrupt her aura.

"Sense anything Zizzy?" he asked in a deep voice that reverberated.

[Taime Jorel]

Taime watched as Eir and Zizzy communed with the forest and spared a moment's desire for that sort of power. It sounded more peaceful, though the look on Eir's face before made that thought a bit of a lie. He moved over to the tree, wondering if he could use what he knew to soothe the tree.

But again, his own fears and anxieties interfered. He moved his hand before he could effect the tree too much.

She can see a bright shining orb... wait... a planet? It seems to be bathed in light, and she can feel the warmth and safety of the Light side radiating from it.

But light will always cast a shadow, and as Zizzy reaches for the light, a darkness is cast upon the shining surface. Even when she recoils frm it, it grows and seeps into the planet, dimming its light.

And then the vision fades...

[Zizzy Roosh]

She shook her head to clear the dark after-image, tendrils swirling. "Oh. Oh that's not good." Rising to her feet she paced around the rock. There was a concerned expression on her face that had not been there before she began communing with the force.

OOC: Was it a planet I recognised? If not, would I know it if I saw it again?

OOC: It's not a planet you have seen before or are familiar with, but you think you would recognize it if you were to see it again.

Corvin gave Zizzy a look through narrowed eyes. "You saw something, huh? What was it?" He shrugged. "Sorry, don't mean to pry. You can talk about it when you're ready."

Taime walked up to Corvin.. "What...what if what we sense isn't right? Does it mean anything? Could we harm the tree with what we do?"

[Corvin Zell]

Corvin gave Taime a sharp look. "Probably not. Not unless you really worked at it. The tree's got a lot of life energy itself. The Force binds together all living things, after all. You never know what'll have a destiny."

He nodded slowly to Taime. "Maybe try letting it going the other way. See if you can let the tree into you a little bit. It's..." He frowned. "You can do it. It's kinda hard to explain, though."

I'm already doing something wrong. Steeling himself, he turned back toward the tree, determined to do it right this time.

"I'll try."

He placed his hand on the tree and tried to relax and let the tree in, whatever that meant.

Corvin snorted at the phrase 'I'll try', but he made no additional comment.

He felt it thrumming through him. "You're right. I can feel it...pulsing? Or something like that."

[Eir]

Eir was still close to the tree, turning her head to watch Corvin and Taime. As Taime moved to try and open himself to the Voice of the Force that resided in those boughs, she smiled encouragingly.

[Corvin Zell]

Corvin nodded. "Yeah. That's life. There's a reason that the Jedi think of it as a flow or a cycle. Because that's exactly what it is."

He looked around, almost smiling again. "C'mon. Let's keep going. There's a lake just up ahead that I want everyone to see." He set off again, pausing a moment to let the stiffness in his wound ease, before taking up his former steady pace.

Ares left Zizzy to run ahead, and climb up on one of the larger trees, trying to clim through the tangled branches to see if he could see the lake or something interesting. He looked out from the top of the tree to look around.

[Zizzy Roosh]

Corvin gave Zizzy a look through narrowed eyes. "You saw something, huh? What was it?" He shrugged. "Sorry, don't mean to pry. You can talk about it when you're ready."

It took a little while for Zizzy to steady herself enough to tell the story. As they walked over towards the lake she moved up alongside Corvin.

"So... About my vision Knight Corvin. It was, totally intense. I saw this beautiful bright orb, a planet, bathed in light. It was like I could feel the light side emanating from it, all safe and warm."

She paused, a frown crossing her face before she continued on. "I reached out for the planet, but my hand threw a shadow on the surface. So I pulled my hand away, really quickly, but the shadow just stayed there and started spreading into the planet. The light started to fade, and then the vision was over."

Corvin grunted, acknowledging this. For a time, he walked along in silence. It wasn't entirely clear how big this jungle section of the city was, but they could obviously walk for at least a few minutes without hitting any border.

"You often see things like that?" He finally asked.

[Zizzy Roosh]

She paused as she thought about how best to answer that. "I see a lot of things. Just not quite like that... I've been having force visions since I was little. My grandma taught me how to reach out consistently."
