[Day 5 - EE] The Ultimate Power... of Friendship

[Byron Mik]

“Do what… decide on a master?” he asked.

“I mean, I have heard all kinds of things but mostly it is committee at times… or your master just chooses to teach you… I guess one could ask but often the Jedi just know that they should teach this youngling or another and sometimes the Jedi Coucil may say this is your charge.”

“But really, it just depends?” he said with slight exasperation.

[Hatoful GM]

"Mmm. Yes." Drascovina seemed to be studying her fingernails. "That sounds about what I had expected."

She looked up with a smirk. "Well, then, I suppose I should wish you the fortune of being paired with an appropriate master, when the time comes." She paused a moment, her lips pressing together. "Do you think it likely to be Master Orgus?"

“I don’t know, maybe? He seems to have a similar approach tthat I have but who knows, the Jedi masters work in mysterious ways. Maybe I will just strike out on my own and travel the galaxy as a Jedi Knight righting wrongs, helping the helpless, and doing all the fun stuff you see in sappy holovids,” he responded warmly.

“A handsome rugged hero of the masses.”

Crossing her arms, Drascovina chuckled softly. "Oh yes, I'm sure." She rolled her eyes, smirking. "With a cleavagy smuggler, and a... a Wookiee for company I suppose. I've seen some of those holovids myself, you know. Vera Hawke has some viewers in the Empire."

“Heroes are universal,” he said warmly.

“Just have to find a smuggler now and a wookiee, So are you a fan of cleavage knight, or is that beneath you?” he asked, glad for the change of subject from the Dark side.

Drascovina sniffed dismissively. "Quite beneath me. I don't waste my time with such drivel."

She hesitated a moment, pursing her lips. "Have you seen any Empire programs? Enemy of the State? Alone and Dangerous? The Sith Apprentice?"

"I don't actually watch many holovids, Imperial or Republic, spend my time tinkering with things or punching gangsters in the face," he joked.

"On the side I hang out with Sith, you know the usual."

One elegant blonde eyebrow went up. "Punching gangsters in the face? That sounds interesting. Is that something the Jedi regularly do?"

She leaned back against the wall, one foot up. "What happened?"

[Byron Mik]

"Jedi... sometimes, but Jedi Cop... he plays by own his rules, and sometimes a gangster just needs to get punched in the face or their skull smashed into a counter," he replied with a shrug.

"Whatever it takes to find justice."

[Hatoful GM]

Drascovina raised a hand to her lips, tittering softly. "Perhaps you are like a holovid character, then. Do the masters call you a loose cannon?"

Her eyes narrowed. "I thought the Jedi did their best to avoid violence. But perhaps these thugs just couldn't be reasoned with?" The eyebrow went back up, inviting further explanation.

"What the Masters don't know won't hurt them, and besides I do good work."

When she mentions avoiding violence he nodded and said, "I give them an opportunity to do the right thing, sometimes that opportunity is a very slim window. If you are already threatening someone with a blaster for their creds, then you get the business end of Jedi Cop's fist."

"In many ways they punched themselves by being bloody idiots. So pro-tip don't be a bully or a gangster and you won't have to deal with Jedi Cop's fist of justice. Of course the way you Sith revere pain, you might like it..."

[Hatoful GM]

"Jedi Cop." Drascovina smirked, but it was one of her less mean smirks. So it was only a little mean. "How interesting. Well, if they were only hurting themselves, then I suppose they have only themselves to blame."

She shook her head as he went on, blonde hair swirling about. "Pain is a curious thing, for the Sith. We can show we are stronger by enduring it, showing that it means nothing to us. Or by inflicting, whether on another or oneself. There's no power in simply being beaten; that's for the weak."

"So how would you show power?" He asked.

[Hatoful GM]

Drascovina smiled, but it was a cold thing. As her smiles went, this was one of the less pleasant ones. "Power does not always need to be shown. It often just is. But there are those who forget their place, or underestimate yours. In that case, it's for their own good that you remind them of the power you have over them, before you'd be forced to do something that... they would regret."

She tossed her head. "In that case, well, I would exercise power such that I should not have to teach them the lesson a second time."

[Byron Mik]

“I suppose that must be effective, for you,” he responded. Byron looked around and then said, “Nice place, not exactly my atmosphere but I do respect what the ancient Sith accomplished here. Next time I might have you do some Jedi things since we seem to be doing an exchange of culture and ideas.”

"Jedi things." The sneer was audible in her voice. And perhaps a little visible on her face.

She smirked. "What did you have in mind? Should I practice sitting cross-legged? Gazing at my navel?"

[Byron Mik]

"Navel gazing is for advanced students... for you the soup kitchen," he offered.

"Need a hair net tho."

[Hatoful GM]

"Soup kitchen?" Drascovina's lips pressed together. "Hair net?" Her voice went up half an octave. It was difficult to tell which offended her more.

Her teeth flashed in something like a smile, and she laughed. "I'd sooner put my hair in a garbage disposal than a hair net for a soup kitchen."

Shaking her head, she began to lead the way back to the entrance.

"So the great Sith prodigy was defeated by a hair net and a bowl of soup," Byron mused.

"Jedi score is one and Sith score is zero."

[Hatoful GM]

Drascovina paused a moment, casting him an edged smile. "It seems to me that we are playing different games. Perhaps you are winning yours, but I am winning mine."

She tossed her hair back. "I suppose we'll just have to see at the end who has really won, won't we?"
