Day at the beach (D5, EA)

There was no short supply of food, as it seemed Jaric knew well enough how much growing teenage boys consumed during a day.

After seeing his job finished, Taime got a plate for himself and began to chow down. He didn't realize how hungry he'd been but maybe the sun had something to do with it.

[Zizzy Roosh]

On the way down, Zizzy saw something swim away. Some sort of small shark, perhaps. But it had lizard-like scales. And was that fur? It swam out of sight before she could get a proper look.

She never would have been able to see it with her eyes. But her tendrils detected something among the rocks that was, in fact not a rock. With careful study, she was able to see that part of the shape of the rocky floor was actually an octopus, about the size of a small dog, flattened and camouflaged.

Her curiosity was piqued by, well, everything! She spent a few moments studying the octopus. It could fill her eyes but not her tendrils. Grinning she swam back up to Master Chriala.

"That was... unbelievable! The octopus was great, they're so clever. What was the other thing though? It looked like a shark, but with bits of every animal. Do they have chimaera here?"

The nearly faceless visage of Master Chriala nodded. "Auratera is a planet of light and life. Many curious creatures come to exist here. Even those that defy our definition, like a shark that is also reptile and mammal. One could study them for a lifetime." She smiled. "Such is our galaxy."

Mealtime done, it was of course time for swimming. Especially with Master Orgus in charge of dishes, so after he had finished eating Silas made his way to the ocean.

He hadn't brought a aqua rebreather or anything like zizzy, who looked a bit like seaweed at the moment, but that didn't prevent him from jumping in the water.

After Esla had finished with her plate of food, she decided to perhaps venture out to the ocean as well once she saw Silas take that initiative. While she did have a rebreather, she didn't exactly feel like swimming in the ocean in case she sank. She stepped close to the edge to get her feet wet and slowly meandered further until she was waist high.

Esla was certainly feeling pretty adventurous today.

"Heya, Aina." Silas called to the young girl as she entered the water, wading in her direction.

"Did you enjoy watching the volleyball game?"

Esla was perhaps preoccupied with watching her legs submerged in the ocean and the sensation of the water on her calves. She flinched a bit when Silas approached at first before giving him a small smile and a wave. "Hello, Silas. Yes, it was pretty exciting! I thought you did pretty good...even if the girls beat you."

"Want to play next time?" Silas asked with a smile, he hadn't meant to startle Aina, but these things happened every once in a while.

Sinking into the water up to his chest, he looked up towards the sky. "It's pretty fun, even if it's a bit tiring."

[Esla Tor]

Esla scratched her chin in consideration at the idea, not too sure. "Mmm, I wouldn't mind if you're planning too, I guess. Hm, I don't know what I could offer when it comes to cooking. Maybe baking bread, if that counts. Are you talking about the next match?"

Her sights turned to Farissa, recalling what she said about the rematch.

"Well, I hadn't really planned to play anymore today, but it's not like we're leaving tomorrow either." He let his eyes move towards Aina once again.

"But we could try and get a friendly game together, or work out alternates for the big girl rematch." He smirked. "I'm not sure you'll have to worry about bathing either. Coukd be we wager something else entirely next time."

[Esla Tor]

"A friendly game would be good," she seemed receptive to the idea. "Maybe not today, I think everyone has their fill of games today, especially after all the food. Do you think anyone else would play?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"In a friendly game? Sure." Was the simple reply, as Silas let his head sink below the surface. He stayed submerged for a few moments before popping back up, sending a wave of droplets scattering around him. "I mean, most of the others like playign games too."

"So I'm sure we could get some of the others to come along. Anyone you have in mind?"

[Zizzy Roosh]

Zizzy looked sceptical. "If I didn't know better I'd think you were teasing me Master." She smiled slowly. "But it's true that the galaxy is an incredible place. Maybe I'll be the first to describe a chimaeric shark-mammal-lizard!"

[Chriala Hulis]

"Perhaps so, child." Chriala said, laughing softly. "If not, perhaps some other discovery."

Her lips quirked. "Unless I get there first." Putting the rebreather back on, she dove back into the depths.

[Esla Tor]

"Uhm..." Esla pondered as she swayed her hand on the water curiously. Her gaze slowly looked to see who else was around and hadn't participated in the game yet. "Maybe Mir and Zanja? Maybe they want to try the game too?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Sure." He grinned. "We can invite them along. Maybe we can even go to a beach that allows fishing too. Mir might like that."

[Esla Tor]

Esla gave a receptive nod at the idea. "Sure. That sounds interesting...I can't say I've done fishing before but I can you guys do it. I think it will be fun."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"I'll talk to the others then." Silas replied beaming a smile at Aina from where he sat mostly submerged in the water.

It was unlikely that either lady would suddenly become daring enough to wear a bikini, but he couldn't avoid the thought crossing his mind. "If we catch some fish, we could even have them for lunch."

"I wouldn't mind that if we get lucky enough with the fish here. It would be interesting to see what sort of fish are found here." She placed a hand over her brow and scanned the horizon. There was a lot of ocean and even more fish. All fish were bound to be tasty, right?

"I guess we can maybe consider it survival practice for later?"
