Datapad Discovery (Day 6 Early Eve DLH)

It had been a peculiar thing the Vergence, and the more he thought about it, the more certain he was that the datapad he had discovered the day before was about this test.
So he wanted to learn more about this person that he had stumbled across that took the same test as him. Where had they gone from there? Sitting down in front of the computers terminals in the Dantooine's Last Hope, he connected the datapad and got to work.
Maybe he could make sense of this jumbled mess.
Computers to understand the datapad? Maybe?:

D6 Datapad discovery difficulty:
2eD 2 failures, 1 threat

There just wasn't enough data left on the datapad to make any sort of firm determination of identity. Files here and there could be found, but not enough personal identifying data.
However, based on some other clues, Silas was able to determine that the datapad was at least five-hundred years old. It was a good thing that Republic tech was
really backwards compatible. Really, it seemed like the designs for most things scarcely changed.

"Five hundred years, that's older then this ship." Silas mused as he looked at the datapad, it was weird how it was still compatiable, and how little technology had changed. A strange lack of inivation, maybe cause by all the wars the galaxy went through?
Still it was disappointing, he'd wanted to get a name or at least another piece of information. Maybe he could call up information about Master Kowuks? It would of been from before the rebuilding of the Jedi order. So it was unlikely, but anything is possible.
Anything in the database about Master Kowuks?:

Who is Master Kowuks difficulty:
3eD 0 successes, 4 threat

(threat for vagueness)
There were, in fact, a lot of Master Kowuks in the archive. It wasn't exactly a common name, but the Jedi had been around for millennia, after all.
With the information that he taught students, and a
very rough timeframe for when he was on Auratera, Silas is able to pick out the most likely Master Kowuks. The info was pretty basic, though; a human Jedi from about 600 years ago.

That did seem likely to be him. As likely as anything at the very least? Maybe there was some notable students he could find?
It was unlikely but there wasn't really any harm in looking.
Any students of master Kowulks? Might as well see.:

It took a while, but with some extensive searching and some cross-checking, he was pretty sure he was able to figure out who the datapad owner was. At least, he was able to find when Master Kowulks was on Auratera, and that one student left the order very soon after.
His name was Rialto. He'd been a student for several years before that, at the temple at Coruscant. After this, he didn't remain in the Order... at least not exactly. Instead, he went into the Jedi Service Corps, where he spent the rest of his life.
Apparently he didn't need to entirely leave the Order.

That was interesting, and his name started with an R? So it was entirely possible that it could be one oof the two names scrawled wit
hin the heart. Still it was a little too bad, time had degradeed the device, and even if he repaired it more information wouldn't be found.
That didn't nessacarily mean he wouldn't try and fix it though. It just meant this was a dead end. Leaning back in his chair he sighed. this was neat, but this kind of thing could wait for other days... There were more pressing things to look for. Like thse local disappearencs and when they started.
When was it that Lya Jierre went missing?

Eir rapped on the wall next to the door with her knuckles, which didn’t make much noise, “knock knock?”

"Oh, Hiya Pixie." Silas flashed a smile the younger girls way as he saw her behind him. "Come to see that datapad?"
He held up the rather ancient looks technology that had recently been connected to the ships computer.

“Yup,” she padded into the room, “woah, that looks super ancient. Have you found out anything yet?”

"Not much, it seemed too corrupted for me to find anything much in it. Though I suppose that doesn't mean there is nothing there."
"A little digging and I think I figured out who it belonged too." He frowned. "I only got a first name though."

“Anyone we’ve heard of?” she queried, picking up the ancient datapad, “sheesh, how old is this thing?”

"Round about six hundred years. If I'm right at least." He looked at the datapad for a few moments. "I suppose the really surprising part is how compatible it is with our current technology."
"But it's no one important from what I can tell. It seems to have been owned by a man named Rialto, from the message I found he seemed to have failed the test we took today? Then lived out his life in the Jedi service corps."
"I suppose what piqued my interest was he said he say a woman down inside what I assume was the vergeance. It reminded me of the heart we found in the temple."
He grinned. "It had me wondering if we could find other students of Master Kowulks. That was Rialto's master."

“Hrmm,” Eir pulled over a stool and climbed up next to Silas, her shoulder bumping his as she crowded closer to look at the monitor. “Rialto, as in RJ?” she took her own datapad and displayed the photo of the graffiti she’d taken. “I don’t suppose you found a KR?”

"I didn't do much looking, honestly. But yeah, that was what I was thinking." He flashed a smile at the younger girl. "Want to have a look, see what we can find?"
Ooc: go ahead and roll if you like, I can add by 1 rank in computers.

"Well, I'm not sure the sith were all that prevalent then? If I recall it's all before the time if Revan." He paused thoughtfully and pulled up the bits of file he had first seen. "This might help, you too."
I failed.
I didn't know it would be so hard. They didn't tell us what we'd be doing. They didn't tell me what I would face. But I guess it probably wouldn't have helped. I never would have expected her, anyway. Not again.
Master Kowuks hugged me, after. I failed, but maybe it's okay.
"But it is a interesting idea. It seems like they weren't together anymore at least during the test?"

Eir slowly drummed her claws on the desk, studying what appeared to be a journal entry, or a letter. “You’re right, that makes it sound like they parted ways, and not amicably, either.” The tattoo of claws on plastisteel increased pace slightly, expression troubled. Distractedly, “still, ‘she’ might not have been a Jedi, and if she was, we don’t even know if she was under Master Kowuks, or on Auratera at all.”
The half-arkanian groaned dramatically, she wanted to help, not throw up more roadblocks.

"Yup." Silas replied with a soft sigh. "It's an even bigger mystery then all of those disappearing people in Dewbright." Heis face turned hers and he flashed a smile. "I should probably just let it go, I find it pretty neat though."
"I suppose that's kinda how actual archeologists feel though. They find a little tidbit of someone's life, and they just want to find out more. Even if it's impossible to find out the entire truth of it."

Looking for any KR’s associated with Rialto or Kowulks.

Nothing obvious seems to come up.
However, more recently than the time of Rialto, there were a pair of students with those initials. Revvin Jas and Keyla Renn. They visited the temple together, in much the same manner that Silas and Eir were now.
