[Day 6 - Late Morning, Bazaar] My First Datapad!

After her breakfast in the bazaar, Esla hung around the bazaar to meet up with Silas. It seemed like they were fortunate to have another day in Dewbright, which gave Esla some time to pick up some essentials, like a datapad! It wasn't something momentous on its own but she felt rather excited to get her own datapad finally.

"Heya, Aina!" Silas came trotting up to the blonde girl with a smile on his lips. "I didnt make you wait too long did I?" It was rude to make a lady wait, right?

Esla perked up when she heard Silas and smiled warmly in greeting. "No, I was already here to get some breakfast earlier. Thank you for making it. Do you think we'll be able to find one here?"
It was probably a silly question but she hadn't really been looking as she was waiting for the resident tech expert.

"Yeah, should be no problem at all." He paused his eyes scanning the streets for sign of a electronic lsd store.
"Any idea what color you would want it to be? Most of em are black or grey, but we could probably find one in another color is you want. Blue or pink or green." She seemed to favor black, but no harm in asking.

"I didn't know they came in other colours," she said curiously as she tried to help out in looking around for a store or stall that might have what they're looking for. "Maybe a black one? If I carry it with me, it will match my outfit at least."

"Some might say that a accessory to match your eyes isn't that bad now and then." He grinned.
"I like black though, I dunno it feels kind of grown-up?" He paused thoughtfully. Maybe he needed to get a more adultish datapad as well.
Not seeing anything directly in their path, he started strolling down the street. "This seems a likely direction."

"Oooh..." She pondered on that idea for a moment as she followed along with him. "I could think about getting two...but I guess it would be silly have some things on one and not in the others. I don't know if black is adultish but it's perhaps more classic? Do you know what colour are other people's datapads?"

"Mine's blue. I think I Valee's is green? Or her old one was she might have lost it." He pondered for a few moments. "Di's is black I'm pretty sure."
"I do think black would look good with that dress I'm making you though." He looked towards her and flashed a grin. "But yeah, one is plenty, and we have time to look over a few so you can pick the one you like."

She gave a slow nod at that, seeing that there wasn't a particular trend with datapads she should be mindful of. "I think I'll stick to black then, that sounds like a good idea. Other than colours, is there anything I should think about when it comes to getting one?"

"Just the normal thingss, screens size, protability, you want something thats sized well for your hand after all." Seeing a store in the distance he pointed it out and started to move in that direction. "That looks like a likely place, they'll probably have a good selection."

Esla pursed her lips in consideration as she looked at her gloved hand in, wondering what sort of datapad would be best for her hand. She then followed suit with Silas to the store. "I never considered such things myself. I guess I was thinking of just picking up something like yours or the ones they have on loan around the academy. They seem to work okay but I guess I don't need something that large."

"Well, really you can do anything you like. Maybe you like em big, and don't mind if your hands are a little small. Or maybe you want something a bit more ergonomical." He flashed Aina a smile. "Choosing is half the fun, and it's not like we have to rush, so he might as well take our time. Right?"
"But, lets start with this." He paused in ssi walk and held up his hand. "Hold your hand up to mine, we'll compare the size of our hands."

"I guess..." She nodded slowly at that, feeling like she was missing something. "It doesn't seem very fair if I had to buy another one, especially when you're going to help me. I just want to pick the right one for my first own datapad."
She eyed his hand for a moment and the smaller Jedi-in-training placed her gloved hand on his to compare. As the smaller person, it was likely her hands were smaller than Silas's own.

Hsi were quite a bit larger then hers, and after taking a moment to compare, he pulled his hand away and reached to his utility belt to grab his datapad. "Why don't you try mine for a litte bit. I prefer one's sized for my hands, so it might be a bit big for you, but we'll have a better idea after that."
"As for picking the right one? Don't worry about it, whatever you pick will be the right one." He paused thoughtfully. "Still, maybe I'm overwhelming you a big with choices, which i'm sorry about. I didn't consider that it would make pickign harder for you."

Esla bobbed her head before she took Silas's datapad with both hands, dabbling through the controls of it as she weaved through the interface to test how it felt. It seemed more or less the same size they had around the academy. "Mmm, it's a touch bigger than I'd like it to be but I do like the large screen it has. I guess it might be good for a lot of reading. Might be hard to carry about without a bag..."
She blushed faintly for a moment, wondering if she was being too troublesome with this, treating like this was buying a pet rather than just a simple datapad. "Sorry...I guess I bought a lot of things earlier back and I didn't want to end up buying another in case I made a mistake."

Silas' lips curled into a warm grin. "Well, just dont buy another then, even if you make a little mistake. Making a mistake and having to live with it is a learning experience after all." He sighed softly. "I know I've had to do that a few times." The idea of a pumpkin spice slush had been intriguing, the execution was something else entirely.
"Still, he have a few ideas now." He held out his hand to take his datapad back. "Let's see what we can find, okay. Just take your time, it's okay not to pick the first one, and we can always backtrack if you decide after we leave that the one was the one you liked best."

"What about your armour and outfits? Were those made with mistakes too? They all look really good." She brought up curiously. The designs seemed very well done that it didn't quite occur to her that Silas must have gone through a few versions first.
Esla handed back the datapad when prompted, especially she had been done with fiddling with it. "Sure, that's probably best. I guess I could consider getting a bag with it if I must too."

"Sometimes? I mean, I'll occasionally not like a design and toss it in the trash bin, or revise the majority of it." He grinned. "Some I'm not even satisfied with myself, so I don't show anyone."
Pocketing the datapad he strolled down the street. "A bag wouldn't be a bad idea, though I suppose we can think on that when the time comes."

"It looks like you have a lot of talent for it from what you've shown me," she nodded encouragingly. "I don't that Sith girl really had any idea what she was talking about when you chatted with her at the meeting."

"Thanks." A bright grin flashed onto his lips at the compliment. "I really wasn't concerned with her opinion though, I mean she complimented a dark blue and white dress, with a black and red fan. So she seemed pretty far off from the epitome of fashion."
"Still, thnaks for keeping an eye out for me." He asmused that's why she had been watching him, it's not like she could be jealous or something.
