Meet and Greet (D5, LA)

An invitation had been extended to the Jedi. From the Sith. An invitation to come to the other hotel in the city for a civilized meeting.
The top suite had been opened up for visitors, and refreshements were placed out. Lord Destrus waited with patience...

Mir was there, wearing his long robes despite the heat. However as soon as he got in he did remove his shades, tucking them into one of the many pockets his garments had. In future, everyone got to have pockets, even the sapient cat humanoids. Yet despite his curiosity he stuck to the walls, making sure his back would be exposed. His blue eyes, wide open, scanned for a friend - or even better, a friend with food.

Ares was there, sword at his side, but was otherwise almost peaceful. Almost. He nodded to Mir, in silent comraderie.

Seeing the tall and mostly friendly human Mir shuffled towards him. "Quite the place, eh." he murmured, his tail stiff and pluffed up beneath his robes. "You think we can trust the food?"

"We are at peace..." He shrugged, then glanced at the food. He just had lunch...but he was a growing teenager after all.
"Wonder what tgey want with us here." He replied mildly curious.

Esla found the social experience exhausting and draining. It was perhaps obvious with the exasperation in her eyes as she tried to distance herself from her meeting with the Killiks. The memory was still fresh in her thoughts when it came to managing social occasions. It could have been worse, a part of her was rather thankful that she didn't blurt out: "The food is Killiks!".
She favoured a corner with her hands folded together, standing like a statue.

"Talk I supposed." Mir sounded suspicious. "Can you see the female from yesterday? The one with blond head-fur?"

Zizzy was also there. She had considered not going but decided it was important to get to know the enemy. Or 'frenemy' now there was peace.
That Sith Lord was pretty tall. She wondered if he was the dark presence in her vision from the day before. Waving to her fellow trainees she went over to take a look at the food.

Farissa was there to keep an eye on things, though she seemed somewhat sceptical of the entire thing herself. If she had a tail like Mir, it would probably be wooshing back and forth.
No way did she want the kids to meet a Sith Lord unsupervised, no matter how 'friendly' they were.

Corvin was also there to keep an eye on things, but in a decidedly more dark avenger of the night sort of way.
Scowling, and with crossed arms, he leaned against the wall not far from where Esla was. Eventually, he acknowledged her at least with a grunt and a nod.

"The one with the obnoxious handbag? Not sure... I'm sure she's wearing something ridiculous. Either a black robe so big she is invisible under it, or something that counts as technically clothes, but only fits in to Vera Hawke. At least judging by those shows."

The man(?) they had seen on the news earlier that day rose to meet them, his frame tall and almost wiry, and he stretched out his arms in a welcoming gesture. "Welcome - oh, how honored I am that you have accepted my invitation, Jedi. Sit, eat, and enjoy the refreshements. I have spared no expense for your most anticipated arrival."
The vertical opening of his masked helmet shone with a purple light.

Behind him and to the side stood a hooded pureblood Sith, looking overall displeased with the scene.

Byron was there to see what would occur.

"I guess she was less important than she claimed to be." Mir mused, his next words being drowned by the words of the Sith in a can. A can that had no fish but a sith in it. A lousy can, as far as Mir was concerned. "Who's that?" he asked Ares, nodding at the can-man's quest of honor.

Zizzy moved over to Byron with a drink and a snack. "You were right. I think things are starting to become a bit clearer."
She took a sip and didn't die horribly from sith poison, that was a thing, right?, so she kept going.

Only fools and weaklings would arrive precisely on time to a party. It was best to arrive fashionably late. And Lady Drascovina Malveaux was nothing if not fashionable.
She swept into the room, through the door opened by one of her minions. She wore a dress of very deep blue, trimmed with white lace on the collar and cuffs. A bow of the same color was in her
marvelous blonde hair.
Chin tilting upwards, she surveyed the rest of the guests with a cool gaze.

Hearing Mir's question, the Sith turned to him. His very presence felt cold and... wrong. And the voice, while not a droid's, seemed to lack something. "Ah, what a poor host I am indeed. I am Lord Destrust, of the Sith Empire. But please, think of me as a fellow student of the Force. Like all of you."
He gave a brief and shallow bow. "And my apologies for the little incident with my students last night. It is so typical of youth to do such foolish acts, but as fellow youths, I am sure you understand," he said as if on cue as Drascovina entered.

Ares blinked. Blinked twice. Blinked thrice. She's wearing that? I hope Silas can comment on that...
"As we are all youths here, although some only in their hearts, I am sure we can... get over the incident yesterday." He spared a glance at Dracoliasliya. Or whatever was her name. He held his gaze, demonstrating that he was still the big dog if it came to it.
"You are here to study force, Lord Destrus?"
Destrus? Really? Why not just go straight to Deytroido or something?

"Correct, dear student," the purple light turned to Ares. "One is never too old to study or gain more knowledge, especially since there is so much knowledge in the galaxy ripe for the taking. And Auratera is no different - it interacts with the Force in such an astonishing way. That is why you are here, yes, to explore the dark depths of its secrets, as I have foreseen."
