Thrilled by the novelty of a new city, enthralled by all the foreign scents and wearing his BayRan shades, Mir stood at the colorful gate that served as entrance to the bazaar. He was wearing lighter robes, his hair ruffled by the gentle winds that blew over the city. Mir glanced at his communicator, taking note of the time before yawning, his pink tongue lolling out for a moment before he snapped his mouth shut. The breeze had brought several interesting scents and now his nose was twitching in anticipation.

"Hey Mir," Eir approached, wearing much the same things as she had on Coruscant, arms folded and hands tucked into her sleeves, except now she had a rucksack that appeared to contain a number of unorganised items, jostling freely within. "I am suddenly so hungry."

"Mornign Eir." Mir bobbed his head while squinting his eyes. "Good, because I'm starving." he grinned, accidentally flashing his teeth to her before snapping his snout shut. "Oopsie."

"Hungry is good. I'm starving. Let's see if we can find something to eat. Like fish." he paused. "You like fish, yes?"

Eir didn't mind Mir's toothy grin, but it occurred to her that he probably didn't realise she was just winding him up back at the soup kitchen on Coruscant. Laughing, "all right, let's get the kitty some fish. There's a whole ocean right there, they must have something suitable."

"Awww yisss." Mir quipped, closing his eyes happily. "Fishy-fishy-fishy." he made grabby-paws motion towards the bazaar before starting to walk in the direction of the exotic scents. Smells of spices, fruits and herbs of all sort lingered in their air, mixing with the smells of the city, the faint smell of the speeder emissions, sweat and grime.

Turning to look at Eir, Mir spoke. "Have you seen many worlds? Like, besides your home and Coruscant?"

Eir giggled, and made grabby hands as well. She walked beside the farghul, glowing eyes trying to take in all the sights at once, her stomach growling. "Only in the archives," she answered.

"Oh." Mir wrinkled his nose. "Me neither. So I want to see everything." A cruiser hoover glided past the duo. The craft was jam-packed with strange orange aliens with scaly skin and long trunks. They all wore strange four glassed contraptions on their heads - undoubtedly serving as shades. Alien sounds echoed from the voice-casters of the hoover car. "Brillante y cromo!" Tooted one of the obnoxiously loud aliens. "Puedes caber tantos lolefantes en este paseo!" shouted another as it slapped the side of the cruiser.

Mir chuckled. "Well, that's a thing."

As the cruiser picked up speed, the alien driving the vehicle shook his head and yelled. "Aye! Atestiguanos!" This caused the other orange creatures to howl in unison.

"I wonder what that was all about." the farghul murmured, his ears slanted against his skull to ward of the loud music.

Eir cringed as the group passed by, "that was definitely something," she shook her head in bafflement.

Mir stopped for a moment to sniff the air, his ears perking as he thought he caught a whiff of his 'prey'. "Fishy that way." his paw waved in the general direction of the beach. Two turns later they found a multitude of sentients queuing for food. Now Eir too could smell it, though chances were that she'd smell the grease and burning coals more than the fish that was being seared. "Fishy here." Mir nodded, taking his place in the queue. "It's so good to be outside again. I was going nuts on the ship." he shook his head. "I mean, it was cozy but their are was pretty stale."

The smells of food made her stomach growl and she pushed up on her toes, grimacing at the crowds. "Agreed," Eir answered absently, she had spent several hours each day sequestered in hanger working on a project, concentrating so hard that she was hardly aware of anything going on around her, so the journey hadn't felt quite so long to her.

"But I got to spend some time miss Farissa, meditating and learning about Force. So it wasn't too bad." Mir shrugged his shoulders and tail as he shuffled towards the street vendor. "You have any idea what they'll have us do here? Go to beach and play ball? I saw something like that on holocast once."

Eir had also been doing some reading on the long flight, "there's a Force vergence here. You remember the question from the exam we took? The Force... comes from these vergences, so I figure we have to go there and, I dunno? Touch the wellspring of the Force without our brains getting fried or melting our eyeballs, or something?"

"Uh, well. I don't really know what that is." his ear's flopped to the sides. "Some kind of uh, plate of Force stacked with fish?"

Eir rolled her eyes, “seriously? I just told you, it’s a wellspring that the Force comes from. So it’s probably, like, crazy powerful.”

"Uh." then he blinked. "So shouldn't we like feel it? If it's so crazy strong?" Meanwhile the queue got shorter and shorter. "Can't say I feel anything unusual, even after all the stuff I did with miss Farissa on the ship."

“Like, a black hole doesn’t just suck in everything, you probably have to get pretty close to feel it.” This was pure conjecture on the girl’s part as she’d never felt a vergence either, but it was delivered with the same confidence as her knowledge that vergences were a thing, and there was one on Auratera.

"That would make it pretty dangerous then, if you can't feel it until you are too close. Or something like that." Mir mused. Only few tall six armed aliens remained int he queue before the two. Unfortunately the massive humanoids seemed to be hell bent on buying a skewer for each a hand they possessed.

Eir shrugged, "you could walk right into the radius of a ysalamiri and not know anything was wrong until you couldn't touch the Force anymore."

"What's that? It doesn't sound like food." Mir mused as he tried to peek over the shoulders of the tall aliens to see the offerings. Alas, his attempts were in vain as the gigantic critters dwarfed both Eir and him.

"It's not. The last question on the exam, 'what creature is immune to the Force?' The ysalamiri. Knight Corvin took some of us to see one back on Coruscant." Eir waited patiently for it to be their turn, though her stomach was grumbling now.
