The two dark-eyed humans nodded in unison and the man produced something egg-shaped from the pouch he carried and passed it over to Byron. It's surface was a little tacky, kind of like candy that had been left out too long and started to grow a sticky film. But it felt surprisingly soft to the touch.

The man poked at the top to break through the soft shell, to reveal a thick sweet smelling liquid within.

Byron nodded and took a healthy sip but made sure to not drink it all... this could be a bad idea.

It was sweet, almost disgustingly so, but it was as soothing as honey for the throat. For the first few moments, it was just warmth spreading throughout the body, but then... it felt like his ears was opening for the first time. No, the mind was. In some ways, it had a tiny similarity to the first time that younglings would feel the living Force in the chapel underneath the Tranquility Spire - but it felt so very alien.

The connection to the Force was dulled. There was no need for it now that the song could be heard; a faint melodic buzzing that swirled through the mind, bringing whispers of others. Many many others.

Byron stumbled from the shock, overwhelmed by the feeling and the detachment from the Force. He tried to see if he could understand the song or maybe gain insight into what the song was or the entities in the song if they were entities at all or just all one voice. Maybe see if he could glean what happened to Luc’s wife or the others that went missing.

Byron clenched his teeth and focused through the Hive mind.

It was hard at first, but eventually it was manageable. There were so many voices at once, human and Killik, but now joined as one. But it seemed easier for the human ones to speak through the song of the nest.

The zabrak girl had a song of not fitting in, being alone, a difficult family life. She found the nest on her own - scared at first, but she had accepted the ambrosia and nectar. There seemed to be a happiness to her spirit in the song here.

The man had a song of hardship, of chance games becoming too much and owing debts. No longer was he welcome in his abode or his place of work for his weakness and failings, and by chance he had found the Killiks when he had been in a stupor of intoxication to forget his troubles. The ambrosia and nectar had alleviated the sins in his mind and offered peace and purpose.

A third voice was another man's, musical and free. The twin-tail head of green - lekku - a twi'lek. Once a slave of a man wearing a mask with a purple light, but had fled while the master and the others were occupied. The memories still seemed fresh of the refuge found in the Killik mounds. Unwilling and frightened at first, but then... acceptance. And now joy.

There were buzzings and images of people with firearms, shooting at the burrows from a distance. But also people in dark robes using blasters and sabers, damaging what they had built only to leave in a hurry.

Further back in the song, the burrows and mounds were growing and expanding, being built in harmony for the nest. Arriving from starlight, across dark rivers of crystals and jewels, from a glittering world of high mountain white-capped mountain peaks and deep green valleys, where there had been many like them but it was time to leave to find new grounds for the nest. To spread the numbers and find bountiful places to live.

Byron emerged from the Hive thoughts; it was the best way to consider it and frowned. Dark robes with blasters and sabers… the Sith? Not that he could understand why they would do that, but then they were the Sith… but do they use blasters? He would have to consider what he saw and make sure he understood.

He finally spoke after catching his breath, “Thank you… that was a humbling experience.”

OOC: When you say sabers could they have been vibro-weapons or like lightsabers or training sabers?

Byron frowned and gestured to the other trainees to gather up. He said to the Killiks, "Thank you for your trust, that was a humbling experience. I'm honored and Jedi tribe will do our best to keep the peace."

Esla perked up at the gesture and decided to join in with the show of solidarity. However, she more than willing to let others step in front of her as the face as she gingerly walked over.

Byron moved away from the kiliks and spoke with the Jedi trainees in confidence, "I sense a plot to frame the killiks by the Sith. I can't know for sure but the killik hive mind showed me a vision of black robed figures using training sabers and lightsabers to attack the hive... and the missing locals were not taken by the hive. I think somehow the Sith are involved, trying to mask their presence."

Silas nodded at Byron. "I could see it... I looked a little bit into the people missing, at least the people that family were looking for. That Zabrak girl happens to be one one them, but I don't recognize the man."

He frowned softly. "They were from all walks of life, all parts of the city. I'm not sure why anyone would want to kidnap them... I suppose I could ask some of their families in detail about that. I do know that one of the Sith was snooping around our hotel yesterday though."

"Good work Byron, I can believe it. My vision tells me the Sith are trying to turn the planet to the dark side. Stirring up conflict seems like their style." She wondered what else they would try to pull.

"Yeah it really does." Silas agreed thoughtfully. "But we still lack any real evidence to act against them. I mean if they were kidnapping all these people, where would they keep them?"

"And have they even been on the planet long enough to coincide with the first disappearances?"

She nodded grimly with that knowledge in mind. It wasn't a coincidence that the Sith were here and it was likely they were going to be facing against them in more than just a single social tiff. That didn't bode well and their timing at the restaurant was perhaps fortuitous timing.

Silas frowned, well it couldn't hurt to try and locate information on their arrival. Pulling out his datapad he pulled up the local news site.

Maybe he could find a note about the smiths arrival there? It seemed like it would get at least a little bit of a story.

There doesn't seem to be anything about their arrival on the news except for the appearance on the news-show this morning.

Maybe it was something local people might know about? Or the systems at the spaceport?

"I can't find anything about their arrival on the news site either. I suppose we could check at the space port, or around their hotel though." He frowned. "Some of the locals might be able to help on that account."

"Space port sounds like a good start, is my guess," Byron offered.
