[Zizzy Roosh]

Zizzy said goodbye and returned to her room. No-one else was around so she changed into her new beach wear and put a few things into a bag. Aquata breather, knife, towel, Vera Hawke graphic novel (second hand - didn't matter if it got wet). Once she was ready she put the holocron on the table.

"Good morning Camlen, how was your sleep? Do you sleep in there?" She gave him a curious look as she sat down on the end of her bed.

[Hatoful GM]

The holocron began to glow blue. After a moment, the image of Camlen appeared, smiling.



"Good m- whoa." Camlen's eyes widened noticeably as he saw Zizzy in her beachwear. "Sorry, I just... whoa." It was hard to tell, but the image may have blushed a little.

He took a deep steadying breath, smiling sheepishly. "Let me start again. Good morning, Zizzy. I... do think I slept well. How about you?"

[Zizzy Roosh]

The quizzical look deepened. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" She got up, walked over, and leaned in to tap the holocron a few times in the universal style of someone trying to fix a technological device. The image didn't seem to flicker.

"I slept fine thanks. We just helped to resolve a difficult situation here on the planet, and we're all going down to the beach soon to relax. I'd bring you but I figure holocrons and sand wouldn't mix well." She shrugged lazily.

[Hatoful GM]

Camlen chuckled as she tapped on the holocron. "Oh, I'm fine. I just noticed, well... that's a nice swimsuit." His eyes flickered quickly down, then back up. "You look, ah, really nice." He cleared his throat, brushing a hand through his hair.

At the mention of sand, though, he nodded. "Yeah, you're right. That stuff gets everywhere. Guess I have to worry about different things now..." He bit his lip, trailing off.

Straightening, he looked at Zizzy. "So, what's up?"

[Zizzy Roosh]

She gave him a quizzical look. "Er, thanks. I just bought these." She sighed. "I'm not sure how to tell you this, so I'm just going to tell you: I spoke to Master Chriala and she was told that Master Xho has returned to the force. Like, a few years ago now."

She offered an apologetic look. "That was all she heard, which she thinks is odd. I'm going to try to find out more."

[Hatoful GM]

Well, that certainly dampened Camlen's enthusiasm. "Oh." He said, blinking. After a moment, he sat down heavily; on what, it wasn't exactly clear.

Looking up, he managed a faint smile. "Thank you for telling me." He frowned. "Your master didn't know what happened? I mean, he was kinda old..." His tone was doubtful, and still a little shaken.

[Zizzy Roosh]

"I'm sorry I don't have better news, but she thought it was weird that's all she was told. So I'm going to dig into the archives and see what I can find. Maybe there's more to this?"

She looked at him sympathetically. "Is there anything I can do? This must be hard for you, but I thought you'd want to know."

[Hatoful GM]

Camlen managed a wan smile. "It's okay. It's... strange, and I won't pretend it doesn't hurt. Jedi aren't supposed to have attachments, but that doesn't mean we don't feel things, I guess." He sighed.

Shaking his head, he mustered his feelings. "Just let me know if you find anything, okay? If there's anything I can do to help..." He spread his hands. "Oh, and Zizzy? Thanks. I appreciate it. You're a good friend."

[Zizzy Roosh]

"Hey, we're going to find out what happened together, okay Camlen? This is one mystery the universe isn't keeping to itself."

She sat back again on the edge of the bed. "If only I could take you to the beach for a bit of fun with the other trainees. Tell you what, let's go to the ship this evening and start working through the archives together, what do you say?" It would probably less fun than paying volleyball with her, but it was a start.

That seemed to brighten Camlen's spirit a bit again. "That would be fun." He said, managing a better smile than before. "I used to play a pretty good game of beach volleyball, you know." He chewed a lip thoughtfully for a few moments.

Rising back to his feet (from nothing, apparently), he nodded. "Okay, sure. I'd like that. We'll find something, I bet." He smiled. "Bring some researching music."

[Zizzy Roosh]

"I bet you did!" She beamed at him. "Okay sure, what's your kind of music? Wook rock is kinda big right now, but I'm partial to Ortolan Blues. You'd better figure out how to make that holocron play your favourite tunes, that's your mission until I get back."

[Hatoful GM]

Camlen flashed her a grin. "Ooh, you've got taste. I like that. I've got some Bith Underground music I bet you'd like, too."

He smirked, giving her a nod. "Tell you what. Hook me up to a player. I'll put together a mix tape for tonight."
