Re: Test of Respect-Socialising (D5, MM)
“Well we lament those that are no longer apart of our hives, if they chose to join you then so be it, but if not then there may be continued issues. How did these new guardians come into your fold?” he asked.
“We saw yesterday that someone had attacked your Hive, were they joined with the Hive as well?”

"To be brought into the fold, we give nectar and ambrosia to those who are not yet part of the hive. The ambrosia opens up to hear the song of the Kind, and the nectar soothes the spirit. The entity known as 'I' was once a dweller in this city, but found the Hive. Two others have joined here since we came from the stars." He explained with an eerie calm. "We do not wish to fight, but others come to fight. They slew some of the Kind before leaving in a hurry."

"Who were the two others when they were I?" he asked.

"We did not know them before they came here, but they were once alone too." He paused as if listening to something else. "Their echoes are that they sought out the nest for answers. We do not know what they might have once felt, as the nectar clears away troubles."

"Was one a woman human?" he asked, wondering if one was Luc's wife.

After a good round of polite nodding and smiling in silence, Esla managed to distance herself away from the Killiks before she could do any real social damage. Once she found a corner to retreat to, she let out a quiet sigh. It was exhausting and intense, enough to have her blush in embarrassment and reconsidering tackling this social diplomacy thing head-on. However, this was a test and what would this say about her?

"There is a female human who has joined the fold, yes," he confirmed with a nod.

"Could I speak with this new member or at least see her?" he replied.

The man pause to listen to something inaudible to Byron and the others, before nodding. "You may, Jedi tribe. You have proven yourself to mean no harm to the nest."
He gestured for Byron to join him.

Byron was led to the entrance of one of the caves and was signalled to wait. It did not take long before they were joined by a young zabrak girl, about the same age as Byron and his fellow students. She too had the blackened eyes as the man he spoke to.
"We have answered the call to meet? Why have we been summoned?"

As Byron went about chatting with the black eyed man, Silas observed. It would be nice if he could link the people that came out to the spacebook pages of some of those who were missing. Though if he had heard right, there were only a few people here, nowhere near the amount that were missing.

The teenage zabrak matched one of the missing people Silas' had read about the day before. The specific face-tattoos made her easy to identify.

“Sorry to bother you, guardian of Hive Ukanauku, I was simply trying to see if you… this one matched the description of one that went missing from Hive Dewbright, which she does,” he said honestly.
He was thankful it was not Luc’s wife, as far as he could tell but still troubled that the locals may find this an issue.

The Zabrak lifted her head to listen to a sound they could not hear. "We were once in Dewbright, yes, but it is not a hive - for it is just many lonely ones in silence. There is no song or belonging in Dewbright."

Re: Test of Respect-Socialising (D5, MM)
Byron replied, “We don’t hear a singular song but we do have a community, some feel alone but not everyone and people do care when others in that community go missing or are harmed.”
“It may be hard to explain to the Hive, but people enjoy the lives they live in Dewbright, it is not like your Hive, but in many ways they still work to make that Hive better just as you do. They protect their young, build up the buildings, and work together for the betterment of the group even without a unifying song.”

"Do they?" she asked calmy. "There is discord in such a place - they have no unity of purpose or in existence, and only hurt others and their surroundings."
The zabrak offered a brief bow. "We could give you a glimpse of the hive, lonely one."

“I… “ he paused considering the idea and then clarified, “Only if it does not mean I am permanently attached to the Hive, I am needed by Jedi tribe and the people of Dewbright.”
“I know there is discord but that is part of how our society works. Conflict is not a bad thing if it breeds innovation and allows a free flow of different ideas. We are not born into a unified existence, yet we still build unions and groups naturally as sentient beings.”

"It would not be a permanent change, as such require more time, nectar, and ambrosia," she explained calmly. "We do not understand why you woud prefer not to, but we will respect your decision, as you have shown respect to us."

"Then consider that a small bit of understanding of us that are not connected. Individual choice is important to our communities," he said warmly.
"I am prepared, give me a glimpse of the Hive."
