Questions and Conundrums (Day 4 Late Evening, Hotel)

[Silas Myles Pearson]

Silas frowned thoughtfully. "Master Din.. Say you are walking down the street, you see a pet secured by a chain outside someone's home. You think to yourself that such a fate is too cruel, so you move forward to release the creature. As you do so, it starts to growl at your approach it's body speaking of distrust. Yet you continue foreard, you only wish to help, surely it will understand."

"But in the end it leaps forward and attacks, you are left biten, and the owner rushes out in a panic. He asks if you are alright and offers to treat your injuries. You agree and as he is doing so he confesses the animal has biten before, and now the law dictates that it be put down. The man is sad, but he knows what must be done. So. Was it the creatures fault it's dead, because surely it did bite you. Or yours for extending a helping hand that wasn't wanted?" The young man shook his hand as if he wasn't really expecting an answer.

"If you think it's wise Byron follows his plan, I won't argue. But I won't go along with it either." He smiled up at the older man. "Thank you for your time Master."

[Orgus Din]

Orgus smiled. "Actually, there was some part I was hoping you could play in this, if you're up for it."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

Silas frowned softly. "What did you have in mind, Master?"

[Orgus Din]

"'There is no ignorance, there is knowledge'." Orgus quoted. "I think you should tell Byron what concerns you. See if you can help him to understand the danger that he faces."

Orgus nodded. "And while you don't support his plan, I hope you support him. And know that we'll support you. As Jedi should, with each other."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

That broght a thoughtful expression to Silas' face. "I'll consider it, it would be the wise course of action... Just the last time I brought up some of my concerns for Byron's actions he dismissed them out of hand. I'm not sure this time will go any differently."

The second comment got a nod. "I will." Even if it was pretty hard to sometimes.

[Orgus Din]

Orgus gave a kindly chuckle. "It's harder to do things when they've gone badly in the past. But sometimes they need to be done anyway."

Rising to his feet, he gave Silas a friendly pat on the shoulder. "You're doing well, Silas. Now, you sure you don't want anything from the lobby? My treat."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Its unhealthy to eat this late." Silas replied with a grin. "And I'd only get candy anyways, so I'll be okay."

"Have a good night Master Din."

[Orgus Din]

Orgus chuckled. "You're right, on both counts. Well, it's important to know yourself."

He rose, opening the door. "Have a good night, Silas."

"Night!" Silas bowed to the older man and walked out of the room giving one last wave along the way.
