With growing confidence, Eir scratched the big cat behind the ears, using her own blunt claws to work into the fur, "I bet you know all the best secrets," she told Fang.

[Corvin Zell]

Fang's head tilted back, his mouth opening in what seemed suspiciously like a smile. Again, the rumbling purr. If he had any secrets, he wasn't sharing.

After a few moments, though, he did butt Eir's side with his head. Fondly, it seemed. Corvin chuckled. "Careful, Fang. She's not as big as I am."

[Eir]

Eir rocked on her heels, but didn't lose her balance, "oh, I think you like that," and she employed her other hand to start scratching both ears at once.

[Zizzy Roosh]

Zizzy giggled, Eir was pretty tiny. "I guess you're king of this jungle, hmm?" She ran a hand along Fang's flank while his ears were being taken care of.

"So, are Manka cats native to Ithor Corvin? I've never been but it's supposed to be a beautiful world, a bit like this one but with a nighttime."

[Corvin Zell]

Indeed, the big cat seemed to enjoy all the attention. And praise. Gieb chuckled. "He's gonna get used to this, I can tell."

Zizzy would be able to feel an old scar along Fang's flank.

Corvin shook his head. "They're not, or not originally. But a few have been introduced. I guess he's one of them, but he didn't seem to have a pack." He shrugged. "I didn't have many friends, he didn't have a pack. It worked out."

[Eir]

Eir scowled, lowering her face until her forehead met Fang’s. No one told any of this could be part of being a Jedi. ‘Study hard,’ Chriala had told her, ‘knowledge will show you your path.’ Yeah? that half-arkanian grouched, where was this knowledge, then? Bah!

[Zizzy Roosh]

Zizzy very gently traced the scar and patted Fang. "You've seen a lot of action, haven't you. I'm glad you both found each other."

She looked at Corvin. "Now I see why you were so keen to come back here. Two good friends, peace and quiet. No annoying questions to answer." She gave him an amused smile.

[Corvin Zell]

Corvin smirked. "Yeah, pretty much. Fang doesn't ask a whole lot of questions. I like that." The smirk grew. "Gieb talks a bit sometimes, but that's okay, I guess.

For a few moments, Eir and Fang were forehead to forehead. Even without trying, it was easy to pick up a sense of contentment from him. Then, suddenly, the big cat flopped on his back. He made quite a cloud of dust as he rolled around a bit, flailing massive paws, and looking up at everyone expectantly.

"He been doing well?" Corvin asked Gieb quietly. Gieb nodded.

"Fine, fine. Getting a bit older, but we all are, aren't we?" Gieb said. Corvin grunted acknowledgement..

[Zizzy Roosh]

She smiled at the reaction from Corvin and stopped short of giggling at Fang. "Well, I guess we shouldn't keep him waiting."

With no small amount of delight she started rubbing Matter Fang's belly. "Who's a good Manka cat? You are!"

[Eir]

Eir smiled at the cat's antics, scratching Fang under the chin while Zizzy tended to his exposed belly. "Careful, Fang, someone might mistake you for a vicious beast."

[Corvin Zell]

Fang continued to give his pleased groaning purr, rolling about a bit on the ground. Corvin laughed at his antics. Kneeling by Fang's side,
Corvin patted the big cat's side again.

"When I first found him, he was injured. You can still feel the scar here." Indeed, Zizzy had found it earlier. "Figure that was maybe why he didn't have a pack anymore. Still, he's a survivor." The smile became decidedly... odd. "It was good to remember when I got my own injury to match."
