Snowmageddon (Day 9 Midmorning)

So the time was nigh. Silas had spent a little time before the match to set up small fortifications made of snow on certain parts of the field, something that had taken a bit of time but was worth doing, and at the moment was looking over his work as he waited for the others to arrive.

He hadn't come up with any specific plans, but that would have to do. With effort victory could be theirs after all.

Zizzy turned up dressed for battle. Well, a battle with the snow. She wore her thermal cloak, Jedi clothing and robes. There was an important meeting after this and she didn't want to get her other clothes soaked.

She walked over to Silas and gave him a bright smile. "Good morning Silas, were you up all night planning your Snowball strategies? Or was your mind on other things?"

Had his mind been on other things? Of course it had, still he couldn't help but grin as the mikkian girl approached. "I slept soundly, if that is what you're asking." Though it had taken him a bit to get to sleep.

Adjusting his cloak around him, he forced down the urge to laugh. "I hope you spent your night reading cookbooks. I'm sure you'll need it"

Eir trudged out into the snow, bundled against the cold. She’d had fun with Glade and Taime yesterday, and the characters in books and shows always seemed to like this whole snowball fight thing, so she was willing to try it out.

"Hi, Pixie." Silas said, offering a wave to Eir as she arrived. It was good to see the young girl here for all this.

Zanja was ready for WAR!!! This looked a lot less impressive when the war in question was a snow fight; warm gloves plus horn tips pricking through a stretchy warm hat lacked the intimidation factor of a sleek set of battle armor. The determined smirk on her face would have been much the same either way, though.

“Ready to eat snow?”

“Hey,” she answered through her scarves. Eir had looked up How to Make Snowballs on NuTube last night, and thought she had a handle on the process, in theory anyway. “Looks like the girls are all here.”

"Yeah, just waiting on Abs and Que by the look of it." They were running a bit late, but it wasn't really a big deal. "They should be here soon though."

Clucking her tongue, Eir started shoving snow into a pile, “that gives us time to start on fortifying our defenses.”

"Good, you'll need your strength for all the baking you'll be doing." She winked at him. "I don't need a cookbook to know how to make ice soup."

As the girls arrived Zizzy waved enthusiastically. "Hi Eir. Hi Zanja. I guess it's three vs one then." She grinned at them and looked around at the snowy field of battle.

"Baking? Ha! Like that will happen!" Still he was begining to wonder when the others would get here, and a frown made it's way onto his lips.

"I suppose if they don't get here soon it will be one on three."

Ares jogged there draped in his thermal cloak. "Sorry I'm late, just wanted to give the girls time to reconsider and give up."

"Oh look, it's Abs! Hi Ares, how are you?" It felt like she hadn't seen much of the often stern warrior for a few days.

"It seems like it will at least be three to two then." Silas replied, giving a wave to Ares as he arrived.

Taime came in, huffing and puffing. "Sorry, sorry, don't mean to be late. Hope you weren't waiting too long."

"Not long at all." Silas replied with a grin. The team was assembled now, and there was no stopping them.

"Should we get to it then? He asked as he moved towards one side of the field?

Taime followed Silas, not quite knowing the rules of this game and started making snowballs for everyone on their side.

Eir poked her head over the top of a reinforced snow wall, behind which she had been busily packing snowballs. “You made it,” she called to Taime, “are you ready to eat snow?”

He looked her and laughed. "Oh, like yesterday? Using your adorable little minion to dump me in the snow. Oh no, this is gonna be glorious payback!"

He starts making snowballs faster.

"If you want payback Que, you do it like this!" Silas offered to the young man at his side, picking up one of the snowballs and throwing is at the distracted Pixie. It was a direct hit.
