Well, helping was helping and Silas had promised to help around the base, at least to himself. It was probably a little disappointing that the help was by shoveling snow, but really there was worse tasks.
"Have you had to shovel snow before Ares?" Silas asked the other boy, as he heaved a shovelfull off the walkign path, and into the cart.

"Not really." Ares was glad for his thermal cloak now as he was busy in his work. "Coruscant is fairly light on snow." His breath was visible in the air, as fog emerged from his breathing.
"It's good exercise though."

"Good practice using the force too." Silas agreed, he'd been enhancing his abilities to help him along. "Still, I didn't think there would be this much of it... Do you think Ilum just gets bigger as the years pass? Things weren't really supposed to work that way of course, but it wasn't like the snow and Ice probably ever melted.

Ares stopped suddenly, then started hitting the ice below him with the shovel. "Maybe? I mean... guess the caves would stay the same. Unless the crystals grow from the ice?"

"They might?" Crystals could be really strange. "It seems unlikely though," A frown made his way onto his lips, as he hefted another shovel of snow into the witing cart.
"So, when were you going to tell me you got a girlfriend?" He asked, likely somewhat unexpectedly.

Ares stopped what he was doing (which was standing in the snow) and looked away from his friend.
"Later?"

"Booooo." Silas offered in reply, apparently a bit disappointed in his friends answer. As well as the fact that it seemed like all the other boys were getting girlfriends before him, not that he should let that bother him.
"I suppose you don't have to talk about her if you don't want to though... But will you at least tell me if she's cute?"

"Sorry, I just..." He felt ashamed. "I'm really sorry. I just don't know how this..." he waved his hands around in the cold. "Works. I didn't want to shout it out, and frankly...I am not sure what a girlfriend is." He let out a sigh. "I should have asked yo sooner though. You know this stuff better than me. I'm an idiot."

"Well, a girlfriend is a girlfriend." Silas replied with a grin. "It's a girl you are attracted to, and want to kiss." There was a bit more to it but that was a start.
"You don't have to apologize though. Yiu had your reasons after all." He grinned. "So do you have a picture?"

Ares flipped his comlink open, to show a brief holorecording of Ayura. The boy grinned as he showed it to his friend. "Ayura Moon. She's a youngling too, though not invited to her trials yet."

"Oooohhhh...." Silas ducked in to get a better look at the picture, giving his friend a playful jab in the ribs a moment later. "She's beautiful, Abs. You're a lucky man." Even her name was pretty, which was a rare thing.
"Have you gotten around to kissing her yet?" He asked with a playful smile.

Ares smiled. "No, not yet."He blushed. "I...don't want to rush it. And its an attachment. It can be..." he recalled his vision. "It can be a complication." He fell dark. "I saw her die in my vision."

"Oh, I'm sorry Abs, that must have been hard." Silas clapped his friend on the shoulder. There was a lingering pause for a few moments.
"Have you tried talking to Master Ogrus about that? He seems a bit of an expert in attachments and about how we can't totally avoid them." Especially with cute girls involved.
