Silas stood outside their assigned dormitories, gazing upon the land before him. So this was snow? Or ice? Or ice and snow?

It was as new a sensation to the young man as the beach hand been, but not nearly as comfortable. Though he had been kind of expecting that. Still there was supposedly snow games just like there was beach games. So Silas started tromping around the base looking for someplace out of the way.

"Hey Silas, wait up!" Zizzy waved and followed after him. Her thermal cloak was wrapped around the outside of the snazzy new armour that Silas has made for her, with a tiny bit of help.

"Still want to play snow volleyball? Something tells it would be less fun." Her tendrils drifted inside the hood of her cloak, occasionally venturing out to inspect the surroundings.

"Okay!" Silas replied, coming to a halt to let the cute
mikkian girl catch up. She looked good in the armor they had made. Not as good as in the bikini, but bikinis weren't practical in the snow.

"Well, it does seem a lot less fun." Silas confirmed with a grin. "But I figured there might be something else fun we could do. So I was having a look around for a good place, wanna come?"

"Doesn't hurt to familiarise ourselves with this place. Let's have a look around. Good cop." She giggled and started looking around.

"So are you looking for anything in particular or just looking?"

"Aye, aye Future Cop." Silas replied with a playful salute, before joining in on the laughter.

"Well, I think a big empty field with lots of snow would be nice? Though I'm not quite sure if we will find one." This was a military base after all not a park. "Thsi is the first time I've really been in ice and snow, but I read up a bit on some of the things you can do. So someplace where we could have a snow ball fight or build snowbeings would be cool."

"Future Cop? Okay, I'll take it." She smiled warmly. It was the warmest thing around in this snowy landscape.

"Snowbeings! Great idea. I bet Glade would enjoy that." The soft light was quite pleasant but she was glad of her cloak. "Thanks for helping me get this new armour together Silas, it's great. I guess you've already dug out a load of plans for your lightsaber?"

"I thought it fit." He replied with a grin. "Though I think being a Red Hawkbat was cooler." Though cops weren't bad, being in a good gang was neater.

"We should bring her out and build some then!" The little Ithorian girl was adorable after all, and she really would be excited. "But I'm glad you like it, I think we did a good job on it together."

His smile when she mentioned lightsabers was maybe a bit contagious, and there was excitement in his tone when he answered. "I've looked at all kinds of cool designs! Drew up a few myself as well. I'm hoping helping repair Valee's trading saber helps make mine too."

"Yeah, we should have put a Red Hawkbat on it! Oh well. But yeah, I bet Glade will love it. I don't think Ithoria or Auratera have snow."

She tapped the armoured plates on the armour they had made. "Hopefully I won't need it, but these extra deflective plates are neat. Maybe I should think about building a more defensive type of lightsaber. Any suggestions?"

"Well, we can put a Red Hawkbat on our snow being at least." That sounded like a good idea at least. "Did your home have much snow, Meli?"

"Yeah, I hope it doesn't come to it. But better safe then sorry. As for a more defensive lightsaber? Maybe a shoto? I hear they are good for parrying."

"Red Hawkbats rule!" She giggled. "There was snow near the poles, just almost never where I lived."

His suggestion of a shoto got her thinking. "I always thought those were more for dueling? I guess I need to read up on types of lightsaber and what they do."

"Red Hawkbats rule!" You had to join in with the cheer right? "Oh, I've always been on Coruscant so weather is a bit." Questionable at best?

"You might be right. I was probably thinking of a guard shoto." Those were quite unwieldy if he recalled though. "Maybe a cross guard hilt?" Silas mused a moment later. "Though, I think those are pretty hard to make. Though you are right, we should both study up a bit more."

"Oh right, there are two types of shoto. Well let's study together then! Maybe Camlen can help too, we can have a revision party or something."

As they walked around the perimeter there was a stretch of ground that seemed fairly even. "How about there for snowbeings and snowball fights?

"Sure, I've been meaning to meet your Camlen" Silas replied with a grin. "He might even have a few pointers he could give us. But, you said part, so should I bring some snacks?"

It was with a careful eye that Silas looked over the field before giving a satisfactory nod. "I think this will be perfect! We can even make a few little walls to duck behind!"

"Oh yeah, he'd made a lightsaber already! Great idea, I bet he'd help. Definitely bring snacks, we can watch Veera Hawke afterwards." She laughed. "Maybe not the zombie episodes though."

Zizzy looked over the potential battlefield. "Walls? Like fortifications? Oh wow, that would be amazing! Maybe the soldiers would be into that too?"

"I think I'll pass on that zombie episode for a good while." Silas replied with a laugh. "But I'll bring some snacks, maybe I can even find some lemur fruit." Though he rather doubted they had any fresh fruit here.

"We could ask!" I mean it never hurt after all. "But I suppose we should find our forces first." He glanced at Zuzzy his smile teasing. "The boys will rise to victory this time?"

"If you find fruit on this planet I'll be impressed Silas." Zizzy gave him an amused smile.

"As for snowball fights, are you really that keen to make dinner for us again?"

"Do I get a prize if I find some?" He asked with a grin. It was pretty unlikely but you never knew.

"Sure! Though I think you might be the one cooking this time, Meli." There was a confident grin on his lips. "Plus, there is no path to victory if I don't make the challenge!"

"Sure, that seems like a good incentive." She grinned at him and looked out on the 'battlefield'.

"So certain are you? Maybe I'll just retire from challenges undefeated..." Zizzy bent down and tested the snow to see if it was any good for snowballs.

"Excellent." Now he would just need to find fruit on a ice planet... How unlikely was that?

"Oh? Those sound like the words of a girl that can't cook." Silas replied thoughtfully. "Not the dauntless Meli I thought I knew. Who was willing to face all challenger " Seeing Zizzy reach for the snow, Silas did the same. Best to get a feel for it right?

"Oh, I can cook. My menu is a lot like Corvin's but with more bugs." She glanced around conspiratorially. "On this planet you might be stuck with Snow Soup, Ice Bread, and a Snow Cone."

Making a couple of snowballs she looked at Silas and smiled. "I guess we should throw a few, to make sure the snow is the right quality. It's like science."
