Meeting the Master (Day 11 Early Afternoon))

[Silas Myles Pearson]

It had been a while since the ceremony and Silas was about time he went and talked to his new Master. Not that Master Ogrus wasn't already his teacher, but the relationship they would have from here on would be a bit different.

Moving through the halls he kept his eyes open, but mostly tried to let the force guide him to Ogrus.

[Orgus Din]

Silas would find Master Orgus sitting in an otherwise unoccupied common room. He was at a table, datapad in hand, a frown on his face.

He looked up as Silas came in. "Padawan Silas." He said, with a nod. "Do you know the name of a creature from Hoth, eight letters, starts with a t? I know it's taun-something..." He frowned at his datapad.

Oh? Was Ogrus playing that old people game? "Is it tauntaun, Master Ogrus?" He offered after a moment of thought. He'd run into it when studying creatures that were common on icy worlds.

[Orgus Din]

"Tauntaun, right." He filled in the appropriate boxes on the datapad. "See, I knew you'd make a good padawan for me."

Chuckling softly, he looked up. "So. Big couple of days, huh?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"I've been studying Ice planets lately, so that probably helped." Silas replied as he took a seat across from Ogrus. "You would likely be out of luck if you were asking about something from Dantooine."

"But yeah, it has been." The young man said with a grin. "I'm kind of glad it's over honestly. Even if that means the girls can't get revenge for their recent defeat."

[Orgus Din]

Orgus put away his datapad, sitting back in his chair. "Recent defeat, you say. I hadn't heard about that. Farissa hasn't had the chance to fill me in on the latest gossip, I suppose."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Ah." Silas flashed a grin. "So she was quietly observing the trainees for you, was she?" He hadn't seen her around too much, so she had to be getting her gossip somewhere.

"But yes, the boys were victorious in the snowball wars, we revenge our defeat at volleyball." He coughed slightly and looked to the side. "It probably helped that they couldn't use their distractionary tactics in the snow."

[Orgus Din]

Orgus smiled. "Oh, we were all quietly observing you, in our own ways. Farissa just relates to young people better than an old guy like me."

For a moment, it looked like he was going to ask what Silas meant, but remembering earlier conversations, decided not to. "Well, congratulations. I'm glad you managed to get along with your fellow trainees. I always take that as a good sign for a student."

"That sounds like a really good way to see something you don't mean to." Silas offered with a thoughtful frown. They were probably pretty careful about it, but accidents happen. "Is to avoid that sort of thing part of what you're going to teach me to do?"

He smiled at the compliment. "It seemed important, though a time or two I was a little annoyed I have to admit. I figured it was better not to dwell on those sort of things though. People are who they are, after all." His eyes knit thoughtfully. "So what do we do now? I know we're returning to Coruscant, btu what comes after that?"

[Orgus Din]

Orgus frowned. "Silas, we're not using spy cams if that's what you're thinking. What you do in the privacy of your room is, thankfully, your business."

He nodded. "Pretty well said." He frowned thoughtfully, leaning back a little further in his chair. "As for what comes next, I've got a few ideas. But the master and padawan relationship is not all one-way. What do you think we should do?"

Spy cameras would likely be more reliable and trustworthy but it wasn't exactly what he was talking about. "I didn't think you did. But being mysterious can cause misunderstandings." At least that was his opinion.

"Hrm..." He thought about that for a few minutes. "There are a few things on my mind honestly. I'm worried about what that Sith Lord was doing on Auratera for one. Then there was that vision we all had in the cave about an invasion of Coruscant."

[Orgus Din]

"Yes..." Orgus frowned thoughtfully. "Both of those things concern me as well. Especially the vision. Lord Destrus and his schemes are disturbing, but he is just a lone Sith. This vision seems to hint at something much more than that."

He gave Silas a nod. "What do you think it all means?"

Silas sighed, and ran a hand through his fair. "I'm not as optomistic as Byron and Zizzy." Silas offered up after a moment. "That it is a possible future and that, we should be mindful of how we react. I think the begining moves of this attack are already in motions and the force was giving us a warning. I saw what Lord Destrus did on Auratera under the guise of peaceful relations. I saw how Lady Malveaux couldn't even comprehend doing something for someone and not seekking to gain something in return."

"I think the force is telling us that this os not something we can prevent, that it is coming and we must find a way to weather through it. Why else would the vision be so strong, so vivid?"

[Orgus Din]

As Silas spoke, Orgus maintained his thoughtful frown, clearly considering Silas' words.

"That may be. A vision isn't enough to break a peace or mobilize armies, and that's for the best. But for the Jedi, it can mean more investigation." His forehead creased. "It will be passed along. If I can, I'll even look into it myself."

He turned his thoughtful look on Silas. "What I'd like to know if there's some reason you all had this vision. Was it just part of how strong it was? Or is there a part that all of you have to play in this?"

Silas nodded, investigation was something he encouraged in this. If he was right the Sith had already had a year to work on their plans after all. Perhaps even more. In the meantime the Reublic had been licking it's wounds. nother coupel years and the sense of security could really start to hit home. The people were most likely tired of war after all.

"I think it's perhaps the latter, I recall observing in the Library that the section on Ossus was buring." Not that he had paid too much attention before. "I don't know how that was significant, but it's been bugging me. It makes me wonder if one of us is linked to it in some way, and through our bond it showed all of us. So we could better act on it?" He shook his head. "That might just be me misinterpreting it though."

[Orgus Din]

Orgus frowned. "There may be some connection with Ossus. The planet is of great significance to the Jedi, but it was lost some time ago. There have been some secret attempts to research it."

After a moment, he shrugged. "Of course, if you can't trust your own padawan, who can you trust? Talk to Zizzy about it. She's shown some good initiative in investigating lately."

Silas nodded. "I suppose I just found it odd that of all the things burning in the Library those were the books that stood out." He wasn't sure why either. Though Zizzy being interested in it, did make some sense.

"I'll talk to Meli though, we'll have some time for that on the trip back to coruscant." His mind was most assuerdly not on what else he might have time for with the Mikkian girl. "I suppose that's most of the stuff that concerns me at the moment though. There are some other things I'm interested in, but I don't feel I should spend too much time on something I just find interesting."

[Orgus Din]

"Probably not." Orgus nodded. "But as long as your interests don't conflict with your duties, you've got some flexibility. And if they happen to overlap, that's probably even a good thing." He smiled. "If your interests happen to be along the lines of building homes for people without them, I could hardly say no to that."

"That does seem like a good way to spend some time." Silas offered with a warm smile. "I've never built a home before though..." Or had the opportunity or need to. "Still, if we stumbled upon somethign liek that in out travels, I'd like to help." He paused for a moment thoughtfully.

"You've heard some of what I was cruious about looking into though Master. Did you have any particular stops in mind any time soon?

[Orgus Din]

"I'm sure you could figure it out. It's not that hard." Orgus shrugged. "Four walls. Roof. After that, it's just details."

He nodded slowly. "Probably back to Auratera at some point. I don't know that Lord Destrus is involved, but I don't know that he isn't. Probably to Corellia, too. Talk to some people who've been spending time with the Sith. We can take a look at what they've been saying. And also, what they aren't saying, and what they're doing." He grimaced. "Dealing with Sith isn't easy."
