Ares glanced down at the hilt in front of himself. It took better part of the day, and it was a close affair...he almost managed to mangle the hilt on his first try, and he felt his heart stop for a few beats at that thought. His father's blade... well, hilt, at least. IT was what little remained of him, of his parents.

He took a breath, and glanced at his creation. It wasn't pretty, but it was sturdy, at least. At least he hoped.
