Continued effort (Day 9 Mid Evening, quarters)

[Silas Myles Pearson]

Silas was in his room, failing at making his lightsaber had been unexpected and embarrassing. Of course he had managed to save the parts so he could try again, but he wasn't going to do so publicly.

Shoving down his first instinct which was to scream at the walls in frustration he got to work instead. Maybe he could do it this time.

[Zizzy Roosh]

There was a knock on the door. Having missed him earlier Zizzy came looking for Silas, armed with a few important pieces of tech, a bag of snacks, and two mugs of kaff.

Visitors wasnt exactly the first thing on his mind, but Silas wasn't rude enough to turn one away. Rising to his feet he padded across the room to open the door.

"Oh, Hi Meli." He offered blinking, he'd almost thought she forgot.

"Hi Silas. I suppose I should make up a nickname for you in return." She shrugged and handed him a mug of kaff.

"Of course I didn't forget, it's just later than I'd planned. I brought snacks though so better late than never, right?"

"Reading my mind, are you?" He asked, stepping to the side to let the mikkian girl inside. "But yeah, better late then never." Silas finished with a smile.

"If you like." She wouldn't be the first to make the offer. "I'll look forward to what you come up with." Stepoing inside, she'd notice the room was sparsely decorated. Though that was pretty much standard for jedi temples, the only things of note being the lightsaber parts spread out on one of the rooms desks.

Seeing the parts she walked over to indirect them. "Cool, what kind of saber are you going for?" Her own new hilt was hanging from her utility belt.

"I brought Camlen in case you wanted to ask his advice about anything." She sat down the holocron and her own kaff, then opened a bag of spesspopcorn. "It's Corellian style - cheese and toffee."

"Well, I'm just after a basic one really." A blush tinged his cheeks. "I messed up the first time, so I had to try again. I guess a little help might be nice?"

Taking a sip of his Kaf, he grabbed a handful of popcorn, popping a piece into his mouth. "I've got some snacks too, if you want to see what you might like." He pointed to the medium sized box on the desk. "They're in there."

"Hey we all mess up from time to time Silas. Maybe you wanted it too much and the force is trying to teach you to be more patient?" She raised an eyebrow and kissed him on the cheek before he could protest.

"More snacks huh? Then we've got everything we need." She walked over and started picking through the box. "So, any other adventures today? I heard you got shot yesterday. Were you going to mention that or...?"

The kiss was a bit unexpected, and caused him to blush even harder. "Maybe you're right." He offered in response but he didn't seem quite convinced. "That's probably what the masters would tell me too."

The box, perhaps to her suprise contained fresh fruit, well mostly fresh fruit, some were perhaps a little over ripe. But there was jewel fruits inside, as well as jun limes and a few others. "Um, soon? I guess I just didn't get the chance yet, and it's not like it was worse then the first time I got shot." Something told him he was in trouble. "As for adventures? I guess a couple, we went to that Canyon Facility again, and I did some work that Knight Corvin asked me to do. I thought that errand was going to turn me into a popsicle."

[Zizzy Roosh]

"Oh, so you almost got frostbite too?" Her tendrils seemed disapproving, if that was possible. She gave him a funny look, shaking her head as she turned back to inspect the contents of the box.

"I... Fruit?! How did you...?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Trying to figure out all my secrets?" Silas asked as he walked up beside her, giving the girl a playful poke in the ribs. "That's generally something you do over dinner, or so I've been told."

"But I traded favors for it." He explained with a smile. "Even out here on the edge of the galaxy, soliders have their secret stores. I helped out a bit around the base, and they helped me otu as well." He grinned. "It was worth the effort to see you this suprised."

[Zizzy Roosh]

"Hey! Well weren't you trying to get a dinner date with Farissa? I guess you can tell me if it's true after that." She laughed and picked up a piece of fruit.

"You must have done a good job Silas. This isn't the kind of thing you just give up on an ice planet." She sounded impressed.

Turning back to look at him she gave him a slightly concerned look. "So, how are we going to get your head back into building your hilt? Do you want to look at some plans together? Or we can ask Camlen?"

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Now, I'm begining to wonder who you've been talking to." Silas teased with a smile. "But maybe? Though I figured that would need to wait a couple years. But I suppose I'll be nice enough to fil you in afterwards."

"I suppose so, but I'll spare you the details. Just know I needed a trip to the refresher afterwards." He said with a serious nod before turning back to his work. "I'm good with either? I mean I've been wanting to meet Camlen, but it'd be nice to just look over plans with you too."

"Though if I'm honest, depending on how we go about looking over plans I might end up a bit distracted."

[Zizzy Roosh]

She giggled at him, bit in a conspiratorial laughing with you way rather than laughing at him per se. She placed a hand in the middle of his chest and her tendrils floofed around.

"Well I'm glad you got to the refresher Silas. I don't want to distract you too much, unless you're in a funk that you need to get out of? Your brain needs to be in the right place to make the galaxy's most legendary lightsaber after all."

She picked up a piece of fruit and looked around the room. "How's about we watch an episode of Veera Hawke together?"

When she put her hand on his chest he thought about kissing her, but the moment passed as she took a bite of fruit. "You're right of course." He replied reaching a hand up to run into through his hair. "Why don't you have a seat, and I'll put on a episode." He gestured towards the bed. The only real place in the place where two people could sit and watch something.

"Any requests? HE asked as he moved to set up the screen for holovids he'd packed in with his things. "I don't have everything, but I've got quite a lot to chooese from."

[Zizzy Roosh]

Zizzy shrugged. "Okay." She bounced down on the bed. "You know, I've never asked Camlen if he's a Veera Hawke fan. Oh, he'd have missed like, what, three seasons?!"

Her gaze followed Silas as he went to his collection of holos. "Hmm. How about Episode 34: Sins of a Sith Empire? I like the choreography, and that Master she teams up with is totally based on Master Orgus."

Bouncing was bad, very bad. Still silas enjoyed it, and he didn't let his gaze linger too long. "Maybe we can do a viewing party with him sometime? Was he a fan?"

"He really is." Silas replied with a grin as he brought up the episode. "I could probably manage to make you her costume in this episode too." He turned towards Meli and offered a wink. "As long as you don't mind showing a bit of skin."

[Zizzy Roosh]

"You know, I'll ask him next time. Let's just put it on and you can forget about lightsabers for a bit." She shifted into a less distracting position and patted the bed next to her.

She giggled at the comment about showing skin. "Is that what would make you happy then Silas? Dressing me up like Veera Hawke?" She shrugged. "As long as I don't have to fight in it. That does not seem comfortable."

Everything set up, Silas walked over to sit down beside Meli. "I think I'm plenty happy right now." He offered as he settled into his seat, ever so casually slipping one of his arms behind her.

"But would it be cool to see you dressed up as Vera Hawke? Probably." He flashed her a tearing smile at her last comment. "What dont want to fight in heels?"

"Fighting in heels is never going to happen Silas. That's like, asking to break your ankles." She gave him a sly smile. "Of course you can try it yourself if you like, report back to me."
