What's in the box? [D3, LE]

They had returned from the Works in Byron's shiny red speeder. Everything had gone according to plan. Clearly the force had been with them! As much as she liked to sass Byron this cube thing was definitely the sort of artifact the Masters needed to look at.
Their small group moved purposefully through the temple to the Tower of First Knowledge. "Okay team, let's see if Master Chriala has seen one of these before." She reached out to knock on the instructor's door.

Silas nodded his agreement as they approached the door. Holocrons weren't something trainees needed to dabble with on a whim.
Still it was pretty neat that he had been right. The map had lead to a treasure.

Byron was there with hands behind his back, disciplined but smiling at their success.

"It would be weird if she hasn't," Zanja commented, falling quiet when Zizzy actually knocked on the door.

"Come in, darlings." Chriala's throaty voice came from the other side of the door.

Byron waited for the others and entered last closing the door once all were inside.

Which was going to be Silas's plan, but seeing as the bigger kid wanted the job, Silas stepped inside and offered a wide smile to the jedi master.
"Are you having a good evening, Master Chriala?" He asked simply as he entered.

She smiled. "I would call it a pleasant evening. I'm not sure whether I would call it 'good'."
Her head swiveled taking in the group. "Would anyone care for some tea? Or are you in a hurry?"

(OOC: I wrote the intro post when none of us had successfully identified the item and I did not have an opportunity to adjust it. Please assume I said something else.)
Zizzy nodded her thanks to Byron and moved across the room towards Master Chriala.
"I would love some tea, thank you Master. We really were meant to follow that map, you were right. Here's what it led us to!"
She produced the dirty cube and offered it to the Miraluka.

"I always think it's good to have a pleasant evening." Silas remarked thoughtfully, perking up at the mention of tea. Most tea had caffeine in it, and after today he could use a little.
"I can go get it!" He offered helpfully, the Master would be busy looking over the holocron after all.

Chriala's forehead creased. "How interesting..." She murmured. The holocron would have to wait, though, until tea was poured for everyone who wanted it, beginning with Zizzy; she waved off Silas' offer of assistance with a chuckle. "No, no, allow me." . It was a gentle floral tea of some sort, more calming than stimulating, although it did have a touch of caffeine in it.
Finally, after having a sip of tea herself, she reached out, fingers gently touching the cube. "Interesting indeed..." She tilted her head, turning towards Zizzy. Mostly. "Are you aware that there is a Force bond between him and you?"

Zizzy took the tea gratefully. It had been an exciting evening and she was just pleased they had succeeded in their mission. She was a bit worried about that injury Zanja has received though.
Her tendrils did a double take and Zizzy managed not to spit out her tea. "Who, Byron? I don't think so. I mean we're roommates and he makes me eat a lot of noodles, but I don't think we've got a force bond." She looked more closely at Chriala's expression. "Oh. You don't mean Byron, do you Master?"

"Him? So who's in there?" Zanja pressed. The tea actually was calming her nerves somewhat, but that also meant she was no longer distracted from the throbbing bruise on her elbow.

Byron abstained as he was more interested in just listening for now and he wasn't a tea kind of guy.

That made Chriala chuckle. "No. No doubt, noodles may create a bond, perhaps even a strong one, but it is not a Force bond."
She eased the holocron back across the table. "But I was referring to the intelligence in the Holocron. One can often sense something from them. An echo, perhaps. This one, less than most; I can feel little sense of identity. But it is there, nonetheless."

"Oh."
Zizzy looked at the holocron. Then she reached out towards it with all of her senses. Slowly she stretched out her right hand and placed it on the surface, touching it as she had when she retrieved it earlier.
Concentrating on the force she felt for a connection

When she focused on it, Zizzy would be able to feel some sort of connection between herself and... something in the holocron. Unfortunately, she couldn't tell more than that.
(sorry, need different Force powers)

"I can feel something Master, but it is faint." She looked at the Master. "You said 'he'. Can you tell who left this? Is there a way I could connect with it properly? I don't think I'm reaching out with the force in quite the right way." It was all quite fascinating really.

"Did I?" Chriala's lips quirked. "I suppose I did. And yet, I can't quite sense it now... but yes, there was a sense that it thought of itself as male. Perhaps we should call it he."
"As for how to connect to it properly..." She smiled. "Give it a good cleaning. A thorough one. Poor boy, he's probably not feeling at his best right now. And give it some time. Stay close to him. He may wake up soon. Or so I see..." Her smile grew tired; both hands came up to rub at her temples.

"Thank you for the tea Master." Zizzy nodded and carefully took the cube back. She looked at the others. "I guess we've got ourselves a project then? Assuming you guys are keen to help with cleaning it up?"
