[Zizzy Roosh]

"Okay, according to this thing." She stared at the screen. "We're either going the right way, or I'm getting a really high score playing an unrelated Gree maze game." Zizzy shrugged and showed her friends the screen.

The Works. Not a place she'd imagined going to, but the force works in mysterious ways.

"What do you think the Gree were up to down here? I think they built some of it. I'm just not sure why."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

"Maybe they were making a real life maze game?" Silas didn't really know much about the Gree, but it seemed likely as anything. "Course with the way the Black Suns were after it, it almost seems like it's connected to something interesting."

His eyes sparkled a bit. "Has anyone heard any rumors of hidden treasure?!?"

[Byron Mik]

Byron hopped out of the Red Baroness, so far she was running smooth… bright red paint job with chrome and looking nice. He looked around and added, “I am guessing the Black Sun see a quick opportunity to make some creds and hurt their enemies. Better we deny them that opportunity.”

[Zizzy Roosh]

"It's a really nice speeder by the way Byron. Thanks for the ride." She looked at Silas with a wry smile. "The only hidden treasure I've heard about is when you and I suggested it. Maybe we'll be lucky and find some, but I think Byron might be right. Either there's a shortcut through the works to someplace Black Sun wants to go, or they heard about this map and wanted to see if there were any creds at the end of it." She shrugged. "Either way, we're following this to the destination. Don't worry, I'll keep my tendrils loose."

[Zanja]

"Okay, just remember, the win down here is in the stuff we find out." Zanja hopped out of the speeder, adjusted her hood, and checked her training saber again. A glow rod hung on her belt as well, just in case. "Black Sun has loads of guys. The bosses aren't gonna care too much in the long run if we bust a few heads, cause there's always gonna be more where they came from." She shrugged. "If we take something they're after, though, or we block a way they're counting on using, we'll actually poke 'em where it hurts. So let's focus on that, yeah?"

[Byron Mik]

“My goal is to find where the map leads, Black Sun is secondary to that,” he added. “Lead on.”

[Silas Myles Pearson]

Silas did think Byron was a bit of a splint sport for a few moments, but easily dismissed the thoughts. Instead nodding his agreement with the others assessment.

Taking a moment to check over his gear, scanner googles, training saber, armor, and a few other odds and ends he glanced at the others. "Well I'm ready as I'll ever be, what about you guys?"

[Zanja]

"Yeah, ready," Zanja affirmed, checking her gear one last time. "You never know. Could really be treasure in there." She grinned with slightly serrated teeth.

[Byron Mik]

Byron held his tongue at the seemingly greedy intentions of some of the Jedi in training and assumed for now it was simply youthful enthusiasm. This was serious, he knew how brutal Black Sun could be and if they were after this, whatever it was. It was better off in Jedi hands.

“If there is, it belongs in the Jedi Archives, let’s go. Stay alert and may the Force be with us all,” he said to the group. He pulled his hood up and started walking, Maximum Byron engaged.

OOC: Time to move out.

"You know there's a Museum of Galactic Civilisations too, right Byron? I mean, the archives are wonderful, but if we find something that isn't force related then maybe it belongs in a museum?"

Watching the Byronator spring into action she pulled her own robes around herself and started following. She paused to look back at the bright red speeder. "You locked it, right?"

Glancing down at the screen of the Gree device indicated that they were going in the right direction, for the moment at least.

Byron added, "I will let the Jedi Council make that decision."

[Zizzy Roosh]

Zizzy smirked. "I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I think they'd tell you to lock it yourself."

[Silas Myles Pearson]

Silas smiled slightly as the two exchanged barbs, but didnt butt in himself. He already knew not to argue as far as Byron was concerned. The man had his opinions and would stick to them.

Instead he kept his eyes on their surroundings, who knows what all might be out here after all.

[Zanja]

Zanja too left off bantering as the group moved into the tunnels, keeping her senses alert. It wasn't just Black Sun they needed to worry about down here; there could be chemical spills, exposed conduits, even animals in the depths. Or what if the Gree had taken measures to protect their secrets, somehow?

Indeed, the Works was a dangerous location. There were all sorts of curious noises; some mechanical, some electrical, and some concerningly biological. As well, navigating the Works with the aid of the strange map was a bit of a challenge. The students would need to be alert.

I will allow two spotters to make Perception:Average (◇◇) checks, with one setback for low light levels; one assist each allowed. Then, Survival:Average(◇◇) to navigate with the map. Alternatively, you can use Streetwise or Knowledge:education at the same difficulty, but with one setback. Again, one assister (different from assistant!) allowed.

[Zanja]

Zanja kept her eyes peeled, watching for dangers in the shadowy spaces around them. Her orange-gold eyes picked out a few landmarks, as well--a large water pipe, an unusually shaped tunnel junction...

"This way," she said in a low, gravelly murmur, pointing between the map and the way ahead.

Byron had a good memory and was able to navigate quite easily, even using his knowledge of the area to traverse a shortcut… growing up on the streets paid off!

The twists and turns of The Works were labyrinthine, but with the aid of the map, the students were able to find their way well enough. They were also able to spot and avoid the various dangers that they came across, like the mysteriously smoking puddle, or the less mysteriously sparking conduit. At one point, they had to crawl through an access corridor that looked as though it possibly hadn't been used since it was built.

Finally, they made their way almost to the end of the path, as indicated on the map. The last room, though, was blocked by a very solid door, taking up the entire width of the corridor, and clearly reinforced. Next to it, was a lit console. It was obvious that the console and the door were connected in some way.
