Zizzy reached the controls. The door slid shut in the blink of an eye, the droid trapped on the other side.

Having made it there, the students felt they could make it back to the speeder without much difficulty.

"Good job grabbing it, Meli!" Silas exclaimed as the door slammed shut trapping the droid on the other side. He wanted to stop right there and look at it, but this really wasn't the time, so he glanced towards the others.

"Should we get back to the speeder then?"

"Nice skills team, thanks for holding it off. Is everyone okay?" She looked at the cube a moment then back at the group. "Yeah let's not wait around. If you're all okay let's get back to the speeder and take this thing to the Temple right away."

Byron nodded and lowered his weapon; they had done what was needed no more and no less. A Jedi did not seek combat only defense to end a threat. He said to the rest, “We are done here; any idea what we just found?”

He breathed in deep and then started back to the speeder.

"Sure thing." Silas replied Fiddling with the training saber he still held in his hands. Best to have it in hand just in case the droid busted through the door or something. That's what it would do if this was a cartoon, then they would have to run until they took a wrong turn and got stuck at a dead end.

Under all the grime, Byron would recognize the cube as a holocron. And (advantage) he would recognize that, based on its surroundings and the aforementioned grime, it had been lost to the Jedi for quite some time.

He could also tell that it was currently dormant. Best guess is that a bit of careful tinkering and cleaning would wake it up again.

The trip back to the speeder went fairly uneventfully. After all, the little group already knew where all the mysterious liquids and sparking conduits do. Indeed, everything went just fine even after they got in the speeder. It was only once Byron turned it on...

"Uh oh." A voice came from up ahead, behind a heavy speeder van. A moment later, and a Zabrak man dressed in black sun colors stepped out from behind it. A number of toughs (four, to be specific), similarly dressed, followed him a moment later.

"Sounds like a bad motivator." He held up a piece of machinery. "Probably 'cause I took this out." He tossed it casually to the side. "Alright kids, let's talk."

The sound of the engine failing was bad enough, but Black Sun? Ugh. She was just about sick of them. Zizzy got out of the speeder but kept it between herself and the thugs.

"Let's hear it then. Of course, we should probably talk about your willful vandalism of private property."

Still, silas' excitement was cut short as the black Sun fellow appeared, and soon enough he was climbing out of the speeder as well, moving to stand alongside Meli, as she addressed the thugs and their leader. "Yeah, sure." The Black Sun lieutenant snorted. "That's the crime I go down for. Vandalism. Kid, I've done way worse than that."

He jerked his head up. "So, here's the deal. You give us the treasure you found, and we'll give you this." He frowned, remembering that he tossed the speeder part to the side. "That. Go pick that up." He growled to one of his men. They hurried to comply, recovering the casually tossed bit.

Zizzy puffed herself up into Red Hawkbat mode. "Now you listen here punk! We don't take orders from you, and you messed with the wrong crew. You really shouldn't have touched his ride. He's a little crazy about it you see."

She thew a thumb in Byron's direction, the obviously crazed look helping with the picture she was painting. But she couldn't help herself. "Also if you're just, like, openly admitting to a bunch of crimes then you should really think about a different career. Surely that's like Criminal Behaviour 101?"
