Jedi Academy

The Galactic Market is a bustling center of commerce where the goods and wealth of the galaxy flows freely. Imports from remote corners of the Republic, as well as the occassional nuggets from the worlds of the Outer Rim can be found here, and people of all levels of society gather in these parts of the city to shop, eat, and socialise. One can just as easily see a Senator with a small escort crossing paths with a beggar, or a group of Jedi younglings out and about while exploring the city.

The market stretches for many kilometers, ranging from expensive stores to humble booths, where people can buy almost anything that is legally for sale within the Republic - given they have the money for it, of course.

In the outskirts of the district, the poorer living conditions of the struggling families of Coruscant is more clearly seen. The housing is cramped and of poor quality, and there almost always seem to be a need for repairs somewhere. Jedi are not an unusual sight in areas like these, as they often come down in groups to provide food or basic medical services, or sometimes to distribute donations of charity such as clothes, money, or toys for the children.

Coruscant Security often patrols the Galactic Market and the rest of the district, but most people know that it is only during daytime that it is safe. Criminal elements have been gradually establishing more control over the area, and while there are rarely violent confrontations, most people know to carry a blaster when visiting after nightfall - or to simply stay away.

Dealer's Den Cantina



The Dealer's Den is a cantina located in the far corner of the Concourse Lounges section of the Galactic Market. It offered drinks, dancers, and gambling as its entertainment, both on machines and on tables with droid-dealers. Most of its patrons are the seedier denizens of Coruscant society, like bounty hunters, spice dealers and smugglers to name a few.

For those interested in sampling some of the vice available on Coruscant, the Dealer's Den tends to be the most popular destination.

A small group of Mandalorians belonging to the Ordo Clan often frequent the Den, and rumor has it that they make pretty good pay with various Senators hiring them for shady work.
